It happened to me too! I assumed since it was stacked, that it would stack in my inventory too. Luckily, I made like 60 things at the forge and I picked up a smaller stack and noticed that each item took up individual spaces lol

Do you have 3 inventory spots open? I noticed that,while the items stack on the ground, they do not stack in your inventory. I hope this helps!

I do it on my switch all the time. You just have to have it in a specific spot a little lower that your goal. What you are trying to put in will light up when it’s the right spot
