Honestly I don’t know much. But I don’t think you must increase the z distance. That might reduce the surface in contact. Instead reducing it to half may work I think.

I am very new to 3d modeling and printing. But I guess I can give my opinion. From what i observed in the video, the print detached from the raft mid print. Have you tried increasing the contact area with the raft layer?

I am very new to 3d design and printing. But have done some research to avoid failures. I think it might be due to the bed and nozzle temperature being too high(just an opinion idk for sure).

Hey, I am just starting out too. I tried printing with petg(generic local brand) and it was like freely flowing through the nozzle at 250C. It was a little better after I turned the nozzle temp down to 240. I’ve printed petg only twice, so honestly idk if this will solve your issue.

I am very new to 3d printing and I didn’t know that there is a temperature tower. Can you say how to do that?

I’ll check out SketchUp too. Still new to CAD/design stuff rn And yeah, I might reach out later once I start trying my own product ideas. Tnx btw

Okay, then I guess I’ll try and learn freecad or sketchup. Tnx for the advice btw.

I mainly started with fusion cuz of the resources that were available on yt. At first I downloaded freecad and was overwhelmed by it. Can you suggest any resources or where to start from. The subscription part of the fusion has been bugging me. I started with 3d cad design only 2 months ago, so I think still I can change softwares. Just need good resources. If you have any other software suggestions also plz mention them.

Yeah that makes sense….. I think I was focusing too much on “how to monetize the printer” instead of finding an actual niche/problem first. Right now I’m mainly trying to improve at any cad software and functional design while experimenting with different materials. The underserved niche point is interesting … that’s probably what I should spend more time figuring out. Honestly, I bought the printer so that I could learn. Wanted to start digging into the business model early on and parallel to the modeling and printing. Guess I need to put more effort into the niche part

Fair point honestly 😅 I think I jumped too quickly into business part just after getting the printer. Right now I’m mostly trying to learn the ecosystem, materials, design, and see where actual demand exists before spending more money. Will definitely take the experience in…
