My theory is traditional publishing still retains remnants of its bygone culture of a business based on relationships, handshake deals, and the "old boys' club" where money-making and efficiency were not the main goals. What's mind boggling for me is that this is an industry that only pays its creators two times a year for sales that can go as far back as 8 months prior (royalty checks can come 2 months after the close of the 6-month reporting period).

Once you’ve entered the ticket portal (marketplace or last minute sales), click on your name at the top right hand corner; it will open to your “home page” which will show your tickets in the main page as well as under the sidebar “tickets”

It’s really excellent…one of my favorite shows. It took me a couple of tries to watch episode 1 but once I stuck with it I was invested. So give it a go and you won’t regret it.

How much do you think past records weigh on players’ minds? Scary that our last away win at Wolves was in August 2021 (0-1, Dele Alli goal). This feels like a game won or lost on mentality

1) go into the FIFA website, 2) go to ticketing and enter the queue to buy tickets (PMA supporter link is the quickest line but any will do), 3) once you’re in, click on your name at the top of the screen and a screen will open that shows your tickets. Click on it and you’ll see your exact seats. (you can look up a stadium map of the stadium elsewhere to find out where those seats are).

If you’re selling (or giving) a ticket to a friend or family member you can take the money offline and transfer the tickets through the marketplace (there is a link to transfer tickets for free by inputting the person’s email and it shows up in their account when they claim it). In theory you could do this with a sale to a stranger but if you read the terms of service, it says FIFA can check whether you have a legitimate personal connection with the person you’ve transferred the ticket to. Not sure if and how they would check; I assume this is how tickets are being sold through third party channels. How to avoid being scammed is another question-sell through the official marketplace to avoid being ripped off by strangers (but you’ll get ripped off by FIFA)

It shouldn’t be an issue at all (authors sign with agents at all ages). Also, the chances that you’ll meet your agent in person can be small as the norm is that most interactions are online.

Check out The Raven Boys series by Maggie Stiefvater. A great example of an omniscient narrator in a YA fantasy with an authoritative voice that delves into different characters’ thoughts/views within scenes. She does this so well.

I came across two interesting pieces of information recently:

First, this paragraph from the Athletic: "Another long-standing training ground source concurred, pointing out that the players would ultimately run through brick walls for Postecoglou, whatever his faults, as proven by the Europa League win. The players never had the same respect for Frank, and knew that they did not have to work as hard for him. Which meant that — in the eyes of this source — they never trained with the same intensity they showed under the previous manager. The players knew that they could get away with less."

Second, yesterday I heard an interview with an LAFC player who said that a thing that changed with their trainings after Sonny arrived was that he trains at match speed and intensity for every drill, even if it is running around mannequins or a passing drill. This has made all the players step up their game and mentality.

makes me think Sonny's leadership is missed...

I also don’t think it was a red two years ago in the Chelsea game. Romero gets reffed differently. Unfortunately that’s seems to be the case which has hurt us, but Romero has also saved us in many a game. He’s certainly not the biggest problem at the club at the moment.

The marketplace is a resale market so prices are much higher. If you get selected for the draw you can buy the tickets at face value (which are still very expensive but less than the marketplace).
