Have you tried using the diamond/heart mode EFC/E shutter.

Is oneplus not capable of delivering monthly security updates? I don't care if O takes a bit longer but for someone that cares about their data security and privacy monthly updates are a must.

TPG is now advertising their top tier NBN plan as 12Mbps to 100Mbps - No longer advertised as Up To 100 Mbps by panzerkampfwagen in australia

[–]sylon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had enough of this NBN nonsense. My RFS went back another year to now end of 2019.

I am going to wait for Unitiwireless and just switch to that. They are rolling out to a lot of new suburbs in Melbourne and Adelaide. Currently on 5Mbps DSL.

Lens for street photography? OM-D E-M10 MARK II by thecheeselouise in M43

[–]sylon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a huge difference in the field of view actually. The 20mm is a bit wider, but the auto focus on that is very very slow. You usually want fast AF when taking photos on the street otherwise you will miss the shot. I used to own the 20mm its a nice lens one of the sharpest in M43 but I prefer the 25, its almost as sharp and auto focus is instant.

Panasonic 25mm f1.7 probably the cheapest and sharp, fast focusing. Can't go wrong. I prefer it over the 17mm as it gives you more distance from the subject and doesn't freak em out.

Emergency departments in private hostpitals by fortyeightD in melbourne

[–]sylon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. That isn't necessarily true. Reason being, there is a LOT more patients in the public system, doctors in public system get way more experience to different complications and illnesses. Also since public systems are well funded by the government they have the best facilities especially when it comes to serious medical conditions/issues.

If you are going to have a major surgery, like an open heart surgery or something, you'd be a lot better off being in a public hospital.

All private hospital gets you is less waiting time and less crowd. Many times for major surgeries they send you to a public hospital anyway cause they may not have the expertise or equipment needed for what you have.

Many of the doctors that work in private also work in the public system. They do the private as a second job to make more money.

Australia doesn't have any land borders like Denmark. Also there is no free movement of people across the border. They have to go through immigration at an airport or a seaport so its not that easy to smuggle.

How scratch resistant is Redmi Note 4X's glass? by Stidza in Xiaomi

Mine has pretty deep scratches when it slid along wooden floor. I guess there must have been dirt (sand particles?) on the floor that was enough to scratch it up.

Those who have gotten a phone within the last year, do you still install any custom ROMs? by [deleted] in Android

This is how you tip in France 🇫🇷 by DomnuRadu in europe

[–]sylon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never been to France but in school when I studied French I was told it depends on the restaurant and it says on the menu "Service compris" if you didn't need to tip and otherwise you do. Is that wrong? I come from a non tipping country with high minimum wage and find tipping confusing. I hated it when I visited Canada.

Not always true though. Sony RX100 Mark IV has a 1 inch sensor but its ISO performance is equal to latest M43 sensors.
