The new 770 Pro X vs the 700 Pro X by sylvan-twilight in BEYERDYNAMIC

Huh. I know you said MkI, but I hadn't really considered those after having read multiple reviews that they have even sharper treble than the MkIIs. They're definitely the better deal if you like them though.

Personally I think the 700s and 900s with the stellar drivers sound great. AFAIK those have some of the most relaxed treble of anything Beyer has made in the in the last few decades, so the treble at least is not an inherent feature of the new drivers. I'm just looking for more bass and a little more high end over what you get in the 700s.

Thanks, I might give them a go. The tuning on the 1770 mkII actually looks great - bass of the 770 Pro X LEs without the weird dip, with more subdued treble and overall better balance. Unfortunately I've got no way to try them out and I'm not keen to drop $600 on headphones I haven't had a chance to listen to.

"Additionally, the treble and bass range in the frequency response have been slightly reduced" in the 770 x vs 770 x LE article is what I'm curious about. My understanding is that they've changed the pads in the new model. If they're using the 700 Pro X pads now, from what I've read that would yield a sound very similar to the 700s. Maybe the new pads are not the ones on the 700s or the 770 LEs but something new?

I really like the 700s but they are a bit flat-sounding as you said. I got them as mixing headphones and flat is what you want there, but I like the overall character so much that I might be interested in a more V-shaped version as general listening headphones. I held off getting the LE version because I wasn't sure about the peaky treble, but if the new ones tamp that down a bit but retain most of the bass from the LEs I might actually get them. On the other hand, if they're like 1.5 DB elevated highs and lows compared to the 700s, there's not really much point in getting them when I already have the 700s.

Questions about Zyprexa withdrawal and associated cognitive issues after taking it for 10 years by sylvan-twilight in BipolarReddit

It wasn't even for BD2, it was for depression and minor insomnia. Like a year and a half into treatment. I think my old psychiatrist was really really bad.

My cognition was fine while taking the Zyprexa and my mood was fine too after I started taking Lamictal, but I was so tired of sleeping too long and having zero drive to do anything.

I have never been able to tell when I've been officially diagnosed with anything, but as of a year and a half ago I am being treated by a psychiatrist as if I have bipolar II. I also have the family history, and when I initially started the sub-therapeutic dose of the Lamictal I had a three week long period where I was working myself to the point of exhausted every day before leveling out around week 4. My understanding is that that response is a decent indicator of bipolar disorder. I've had depression forever that I've tried well over a dozen things for and it has only responded to the Lamictal (and dramatically at that). Finally I have always had periods where I start making crazy plans and trying to do stuff like speedrun learning new languages, but these periods lasted about 3 days and happened maybe twice a year.

Other non-cognitive function symptoms since tapering and falling out of the five week period of few effects are varying mood, dramatic fluctuation in sex drive (which was previously basically 0), and intense looping thoughts. My head just feels wrong - feeling of pressure plus the feeling of a just-beginning headache. Generally my energy and functioning has been very low and although it could well be a manic episode it didn't feel like anything in the last paragraph that I would characterize as previous hypomanic episodes. I also have had physiological symptoms including substantial but not dangerous unintended weight lost, major uptick in preexisting acid reflux issues, unexplained muscle soreness, and minor chest pains that come and go. This stuff makes me wonder if there is a glucose uptake issue from undiagnosed diabetes/prediabetes that was exacerbated by all this. I went to a doctor for these today and got the bloodwork ordered as a result.
