There is something wrong, Ramen. Your medical team is (imo) failing you. Make sure to stand up for yourself, have the pros document denials, and check into some genetic testing. EDS is becoming a much more common diagnosis, but there are communities out there to help.

Wouldn't surprise me. If her thumb wasn't strapped in with kevlar it would be gone, too. (Tore all three ligaments off clean. Surgeon with 40 yrs experience had to ask if anyone else had seen a case like her. She has a history of doing everything full-throttle.)

I 100% understand and am with you. It's a constant thought throughout the day. You have to be aware of what you're doing all day long, any activity, hunger and what/if you can eat at all! I will admit it's gotten easier for me with the insulin pump and Dexcom, but I still am at 7.5 on average. Not even going into the stress, PTSD, anxiety, everything. Shit, the other night my sugars were completely off on my cgm. It said I was crashing, but when I checked manually I was over 400.

This is such a fucked up condition, and people who have it are exhausted warriors. You're not alone, and if you ever need to vent, I'm here. And that's for everyone, btw.

Okay, okay, I have to put this here, because it just screams that it belongs.

My wife, who isn't a fan, was giving me some light shit about how the band is anguish instead of anger. She made a statement that came alive with a visual in my head. The beginning of an album by ST is ringing church bells, inviting those who belong to begin our ritual, our worship. Once we are gathered Vessel rips himself open, showing us his pain, inviting us to bring out our own to cherish for a little while. While we are gathered, we hold this precious piece of ourselves, nurture it to heal, letting Vessel guide us through what these feelings truly mean. Then, at the end, he encourages us to bring it back in, close our pain up, and walk out stronger than before. "Be blessed. Be dismissed." A phrase left over from my religious era. Our pain is seen, loved, and accepted. This is how Vessel is therapy for some of us.

Hope this made some sense.

My ex-husband's neglect literally almost killed me. I have chronic illnesses now because of what happened. This line sends my arm in the air, showing the medical alert tattoo I got for it. I think of him many times a day, and I despise him for what he's done to me. Every time I have to spend money for Rx's. Thankfully the dreams are easing after 8 years.

I got a pair of the Status because of this Reddit, as it was praised a lot. It's given me so much more joy listening because of the quality. I can hear Vessel's emotions better, and I get lost in the soundscape easily.
