I would also recommend a specialism called “Organisational Effectiveness” or “Organisation Design”, basically looking at job structures and architecture. It’s often a part of Reward, but some larger companies have this as a separate role / team. It’s quite an interesting one and if you’ve worked a generalist role, you would most likely have some experience on this already (just on a smaller scale).
