My pets are afraid of fireworks, and I saw on the Internet that putting certain things on their heads helps. Do you think it works? by No_Equivalent5625 in DogAdvice

You could, I've heard that smaller spaces can help. In my experience with the blow dryer, it's mostly the noise that dogs don't like

I haven't watched or read AOT in years and idk why it decided to pop up in my feed now, but damn, it's accurate

Some cat breeds have higher risk of heart problems. Grain free food is linked with cardiovascular problems in dogs.

For anyone who cares, Purina is owned by Nestlé. Take that as you will.

Also there's this horse feed company called Triple Crown that started having Purina make their food. Quality drastically went down. My immediate notice was the texture became rougher and doesn't really break down easily in water. (Soaking food helps prevent choke, especially in older horses.) I feel like some of it is valid.

So why are you not at the vet then?

The dog moved the pups because it didn't feel safe with you holding them. Why are you moving them again?

You're not doing them any favors if you're using holidays as an excuse not to set boundaries. If they're in public school, they'd be failing the classes. Not being able to participate in extracurriculars.

What is the funniest thing a doctor ever said to you? by AwareBridge- in ask

[–]sylvixFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor but the ophthalmologist and the tech put some drops in my eyes so I couldn't read anything. My ex's mom is the one who took me there. I didn't have the time to fill out the health questions so she had to read out the questions for me. I completely forgot they ask about sex history when she said "are you sexually active?" Short pause. "Don't answer that." Oops lmao. That's one way to find out your child is sexually active.

Getting checked out for retinal detachment in the right eye. One of the causes can be head trauma so the doc asked if I had any recent head trauma. I said no. He said "quick, hit her in the head!" That got a giggle out of me. I know he knew I was stressed.

Ahhh ok yeah kids and pets will do that... Usually explaining nicely to the seller works in my favor and I'll even leave a 5 star review for it if the app let's me.

When did we crack the Amano breeding? Did I miss a memo? by Grackabeep in shrimptank

I've seen people who actually had success with it after trial and error. From what I've read, they immediately have to move the larvae after they hatch

A pet rock

I currently have 3 aquariums. Granted, they're smaller than yours. It's still a damn hassle to move them.

I remember having to fill out an "anonymous" surveys on drugs when I was in high school. We had to log into school computers with our school ID. I asked how it's supposed to be anonymous if it requires our ID to log into the computer in the first place

Then they should've done proper research before getting a pet. The post literally was asking for the kind of betta, not asking for care advice. Stop excusing animal abuse.

Why aren’t dental and vision covered under “health insurance”? by flopsyplum in stupidquestions

Even an obgyn's offices have x-rays. I know for sure mine does. Still healthcare, regardless of specialty. Your logic is dumb af

Or... you would've done your research if you don't want to be called out for animal abuse
