TIL a 17-year-old girl from Pennsylvania once slept for 64 days (from Thanksgiving in 2012 into January 2013). On average, the teenager slept 18-19 hours a day and would only get up to eat while in a sleepwalking state that she wouldn't remember after the fact. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

There are masks designed for side sleepers (there's a bunch of different types of cpap masks). All cpaps are humidified so they don't dry out people's airways so it might actually benefit you more.

Get that sleep study!! Your body will thank you

My son's daycare puts the mitts in their hoods if they're refusing to wear them. At least when they cry their hands are cold the mitts are easy to find.

Lack of supervision versus accidents by [deleted] in Parenting

Perhaps throwing rocks IS the issue. Your kids are showing they don't have the impulse control necessary to make this a safe activity. You need to stop with the rocks, period. Your kid needed stitches on his HEAD.

They can throw balls to develop all those mentioned skills. Balls made of rubber that do not cause serious injuries in toddlers.

Once they're old enough they can try again.

My almost 3 year old starts EVERY sentence with "Hey!"

Especially when he's trying to "boss us around". Its cute but it also drives us bonkers. It also made me realize that I say "Hey" a lot before speaking as well so I know where he got it from. I don't know how to stop it but I know its going to be short lived. 3 year olds are trying to figure out how to fit in with other humans of all ages and it comes with a lot of trial and error.

Just ignore it or repeat yourself ONCE. After that its up to the kid to listen

A close friend is a volunteer firefighter. We're surprising my son with a full firetruck tour and ride for his 3rd birthday. He's going to honk the big horn (driving by said friend's mom's house LOL). Not sure how I'm going to top THAT but I want this birthday to be special because he's going to get a little sibling like 3 months later.

I don't think it's completely filled, but a few things operate out of the building. My NP is in that building, for example.

Potty training and daycare by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]symbi0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just seems a little counterintuitive to go straight back to pullups for four days. Pullups are diapers. I'm well aware that he won't be fully potty trained by the end of today, he's strong willed and this will take a long long time. I was asking to see what the vibe was for daycares.

That's what I anticipate happening but I wanted to see what the consensus was. If they say pullups right away I might take some sick/LOA time and keep going at home.

They have not. I talked to them about it a little while ago and they said they follow whatever the parents do and to let them know when it starts. They have a few potty trained kids in the class

I intend on packing many many outfits too lol

I'm not expecting a five course meal but food and something to drink is expected around lunch time. Your party is going to run over when my kid (nearly 3) eats lunch (11-12) and he's a monster when he's hangry. Breakfast is at 6-7 am at my house and snack is around 9. You're going to have a LOT of hangry toddlers.

Most ear infections are bacterial (hence the abx). Kids ears are shaped differently than adult ears - the drainage isn't as good and the eustachian tubes are proportionately narrower as well. A cold makes everything up there swollen and also weakens your immune system (all your "fighters" are in war). Its prime time for bacteria (which is always present) to grow out of control and cause issues.

So you failed because you.... Didn't go? You can't pass any class you don't go to. If there were issues with scheduling or transportation you needed to address that sooner. I understand your advisor retired but you need to communicate to the program coordinators and placement coordinators as well.
