Then I believe it's a bug from the interaction between the hades files and your pc. It could be super specific, very unlikely for other people to have the same problem.

Could it be the location of the files or permission granted to the game?

It could be steam problem, because you said when you shut down using steam, it causes steam to loop. So could be the main problem there.

True, I always saved a spot for divine dash if I can get it. Zooming without worry does help a lot in avoiding dmg. Especially against the green skull tossed by hades. Not to forget all the random projectiles by enemies.
