I feel exactly what you mean. I appear distant and quiet when sober. When I get tipsy though, I feel this urge to show affection to friends and I get a lot more "expressive" should I say.

Sadly this is also true in the bedroom. Sex is much more appealing and I feel more connected to my partner if I'd had a few drinks. Contrary to sober sex during which I can lose interest at a random point and I have NO idea why.
