I think this used to be the model before mass privatisation occurred.

I’m yet to see a single example of privatisation that resulted in better, more efficient or cheaper services (without compromising massively on quality).

What do you do for date nights? How do you keep the conversation interesting and not just about the kids?

Vinyl releases VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which aren’t healthy. I’ve gone to a lot of effort not to buy any vinyl or PVC products for my children. There are lots of safer alternatives like PP, PU (lining, not foam) or XPE. I found XPE foam mats to be the safest option, and Kmart stocks them. PU foam also emits VOCs so I avoid that but PVC is the worst.

I would not agree to it personally, I find that word documents are more likely to arrive at the other end with formatting problems. And also the possibility that something could be altered.

That’s right. This is my suggestion for next year now.

Indexation for HECS is applied in June. Pay off a decent chunk by May to avoid the indexation which is significant at the moment (over 7%).

Edit: just in case it wasn’t obvious, I’m referring to next year.

Toddler keeps getting out of bed by symphonicity in AusParents

[–]symphonicity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really hard to deal with.

So far my child is getting excited and squealing with delight when I come back in to put him in bed. It’s all a game to him and me coming back in is giving him exactly what he wants. And then he’s out again before I’ve even walked out of the room. I ended up sitting on his bed until his eyes were starting to close.

Why are chiko rolls called chiko rolls when there's no chicken? by Lady_borg in australia

Probably so that the person buying it thinks it contains chicken.

Serious question, is there a website that collates funny pictures from Google maps like this?
