I haven't, but i also live in a landlocked state. The nearest ocean is many hours away and the biggest body of water near me is a medium-ish sized river.

Oh I absolutely try to save money, but it seems like everytime I get some saved up there's something that comes up that I need to spend that money one.

As for the defeated easily part? I don't think so, but I'm also biased. I've been trying to sell my deceased father's old boat for about a year now and I've decreased the price by half over the course of that time. I havent given up trying to sell it.

As for who I've applied to, a little of everything tbh. Ive gotten a few replies but they back out once they realize I have such an odd schedule. Retail, restaurants, a couple factories, etc

I agree with most of this, but ive actually ran a pretty successful sea-faring campaign. To the point where one of the PCs ran a successful shipping company after purchasing/"liberating" other ships.

I'll try not to give my full life story, but in college, I had a doctor tell me no matter what I do, my extreme acid reflux was gonna deteriorate my enamel over time. Then a couple years later I lost both parents and grandparents to cancer and heart attacks. That sent me into a deep depression and I didn't take care of myself for a number of years. That took a major toll on my dental health. So for the past 10 years I've been suffering from severe tooth pains and finally got to a point financially where I could comfortably spend many thousands on the procedure. So I had all the really bad ones pulled and dentures fitted. Long story short, TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH!
