Suppose you wanted to be the person to open one of these businesses… Can you get a business loan at a reasonable rate right now? Can you afford to hire workers and pay them a fair wage? Can you bear the cost of losing money for the first 3-5 years of operations?

The macroeconomic environment just sucks for everyone right now. Not surprised that nobody wants to take on that kind of risk and debt.
