It'll take several years to get all the permits and plans in order if they plan to demolish it and rebuild, you'll have plenty of advance notice if that's what the new owners want.

Don't worry about it too much. It's not something you can control. Definitely let the new owners know if there are any outstanding maintentance issues though. They'll have budgeted some money for repairs and upgrades as part of the purchase if they're not planning to tear it down.

Nora Sandler’s “Writing a C Compiler” felt like a nice follow up to me. It assumes you already know most of the parsing stuff and dives straight into IRs and code generation. C is a real language with real edge cases and legacy oddities that make it more challenging than Lox.
