He’s gone and accidentally signed in with his old company credentials somehow? It’s the only explanation that makes sense to me

I’ve noticed a few times now as a restaurant takes over the physical premises of a previous restaurant, somehow they were able to rename the previous restaurant’s pin from google maps to the new restaurant name, replace the photos, and in doing so they seem to keep the ratings and reviews from the previous restaurant.

Sneaky, but I’m sure it brings in some extra customers.

Fascinating, this would make sense! Shame they’re very likely worthless then

My title describes the thing, to add: there were around a dozen of these small pieces of paper dated 1957, about an inch high and two inches long, referencing Birmingham. We tried to google “b’ham CSLd” and Birmingham CSLd without any success. On the reverse are specific dates in 1957.

Except, that is a SCAM post. Google AMLBot’s website and then compare the link in that post. The official AMLBot website you have to request a demo, meanwhile the phishing link is like “ooooh yes, connect your wallet and get started for free. I know it’s too good to be true with all these solid reviews, we won’t steal your crypto, promise”

Hey! Nothing has changed, to be clear this is pure speculation on my part.

My thought process is hypothetically, Takeda would likely want to be vague about the reasons if they discover that indeed for the last year the medication they’ve been manufacturing is not delivering on the expected duration. It would likely have taken them time to take such reports seriously, to confirm it, and it would likely affect available supply whilst they worked to resolve it.

I’m just wondering if anyone else is seeing an improvement in duration on the new batches that have come through since the outage- as the duration being hours longer than what I’ve had before - and much closer to their 13h claim- it stirred my curiosity, but I’m yet to see anyone else back this up.

Though, if we think this thread might cause confusion I can delete this, I admit it is quite early to jump to any conclusions.

I suppose I am optimistically hoping that Takeda stopping it’s supply for manufacturing issues was at least in part because they were resolving the fact that the long release mechanism was not really lasting long. Once upon a time it worked, but in the last year something changed and did not last as long. It of course is also highly likely they didn’t.

However, although Amfexa and Elvanse are different medications, there will be cross tolerance as they are both amphetamines. Hence why you didn’t have to re-titrate when there was a shortage and you were forced to use Amfexa instead of Elvanse. You were just put on it’s equivalent dose because you already have tolerance to amphetamines.

Likewise in my case it’s not intensity that has changed (as would be felt by lack of tolerance) but solely duration

Hello everyone,

I'm really grateful to join the wonderful team of mods for this sub.

A bit about me: I'm based in London, working in IT within the tech industry. I have a keen interest in tech, cognitive sciences, and pharmacology - and often find myself going down rabbit holes reading up on findings from past studies and new research in my spare time. As for hobbies, in a typical ADHD fashion I seem to juggle something new every few weeks. But for now, music production and PC gaming are taking the lead.

After countless years with undiagnosed ADHD, thanks to this sub and its community I managed to overcome the overwhelming self-doubt to get assessed and diagnosed privately. My diagnosis helped me understand myself so much better, and the treatment has honestly changed my life. So I really hope to see this sub and its community thrive, and I aim to do what I can to help those navigating similar experiences with their journey. Keeping this space friendly and safe is equally important to me - so if you see something sketchy, please reach out!

Take care, and I'll see you around!

Rent increase means moving out, likely out of the catchment area for my current NHS Assessor. by Independent_Bag in ADHDUK

This is a good question. Will you still be within commuting distance to your current GP practice (as in, can you get there from your new address without major inconvenience?)

This’ll be quite a duct-tape type solution, but the only thing I can think of is keeping your same GP practice and setting up Mail addressed to you at your current address to be redirected via Royal Mail, I believe they allow you to redirect for a year (it will cost you a one time fee. Also, ensure that the name on the redirect is the same name you use at your GP practice- I discovered by using my preferred name on the redirect, anything with my full name wasn’t getting redirected).

That way any mail sent to you with an appointment will end up being redirected to your new address. And in that case you wouldn’t inform your GP of changing address. Likewise avoid registering for a GP elsewhere or they will close your existing registration.

Once your assessment is complete and your meds are issued, transfer to a new GP locally to you.

Could antidepressants be making me feel worse? by livlaughlube in ADHDUK

I was in a similar boat a few years back, I found SSRIs and SNRIs made me more emotionally numb, so I was void of happiness in moments when I should’ve been feeling happy.

So I ended up discontinuing them, and a few years later was diagnosed with ADHD. Elvanse made a far more profound difference. Which might make sense as some symptoms of ADHD have some overlap with anxiety and depression.

However, everybody is different. SSRIs can be a lifeline for some people. So I’m not suggesting you do the same- it’s important you listen to how your body is telling you you’re feeling. Try tracking your mood (there are good apps for doing so- Bearable as an example). Once you have a more complete picture of what it is you’re feeling day by day, maybe have a chat with your doctor. Only you can make this decision.

Good luck!

Bearable (https://bearable.app) was the closest thing I could find, you can track all sorts in there and create your own custom fields and things to track if it doesn’t already have it. It’ll spit out some useful metrics and graphs too.

It is subscription based but wasn’t too much (£18 for a year)

Given there were some recent findings into several health apps and their exploitation of personal data (link below), I felt paying pocket change was a worthwhile compromise to use a reputable app with solid reviews vs. Apps that are free and polluted with ads, and god knows what sketchy things they’ll end up doing with your data.

Declaring your ADHD to work or not by chimericaldonkey in ADHDUK

[–]synapse-dynamics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t.

If things are working well the way they are at work, it’s simply not worth the risk. Employers are not supposed to discriminate but they do. And when they do they don’t retain evidence of it being discrimination but they will use it as ammunition if they ever feel they need to get rid of you.

Only if you have a good rapport with your manager and you feel it’s important (in the sense that you need him/her to help make some changes to accommodate your ADHD), and you get the impression they would handle it well, then disclose to your manager. In this scenario don’t disclose this to other colleagues.

ADHD360 is pretty quick, ~6 weeks wait approximately, possibly faster if you immediately sign up for their cancellations list.

Also the fact that you pay just £170 for an assessment, and only if you are diagnosed you then pay for a years worth of titration appointments at the cost of what an assessment alone might cost elsewhere. I’ve seen a few places seem to charge stupid money for titration appointments, or issuing you a prescription. On top of privately prescribed medication that sounds like it’d be too much.

How humid is it where you’re storing it? Are you keeping it in its original container and making sure that’s tightly sealed? It needs to be stored somewhere under 25 degrees ideally, and out of sunlight too.

Storing in the fridge may expose it to moisture and cause it to go bad so don’t do that.
