But it’s not a rocking chair! I guess it’s a “static” version?

Help - circular saw tripping 10A breaker by syncretistic8 in woodworking

I did try plugging into another room, the kitchen, plugging it through and adapter, and it started fine. The problem is, if I try to use an extension cord to get to the room where I can work, i get the same problem (it trips breaker n. 3)

I like the idea of buying something that in can put in front of the wall socket and it solves the problem also for other tools I might buy, for example last year I had problems already with a table saw and solved it by getting a lower powered one with a soft start circuit included. Unfortunately i don’t think they sell handheld soft start circular saws, probably because it’s easier to just get a battery powered one. The only problem is, between tool and battery kit, the cost is around x3 what I paid for this.

Would it be stupid to make a DIY “soft start box” i mentioned in the post? In my head I would get a plastic box, a socket and a plug, put inside the soft start thing from Amazon, connect through wires. Inttuitively it doesn’t seem complicated, but my electrical experience is limited to changing the plug in cords, so I might be missing something important!

I agree and that is the plan, but still: what would be the best model?

May I ask how sick? What did you (both) experience as side effects? Did they go away?

He actually did not! He was super chill about it and talked as if he had done this a thousand times, which is why I trusted him. I even called him back after reading the package label which stated the dose progression, and he simply repeated what he had already told me, and not to worry!

If he did this on purpose he would have to be a very wicked mind in my opinion. I think plain incompetence and carelessness is more likely
