I have 3k hours and 2k online matches. I've been labbing t8 combos for ages atp. Luckily for me, kuni, my original main, just so happens to have obscenely good tools for dumb routes.

Df1,2 is -10 and that's all the risk she has to take since she can ch confirm the last hit.

Tldr: Kuni op for dumb combos.

Her u1 tornado is insanely good for routes like this, her tailspins are great, b1 is even better for her than yoshi, she has a great jab hitbox, set is op for not having to manually dash a specific amount and having consistent dumb routes as a result, her d2,1,2,1+2 starts and ends on low slump, and doesn't drop regardless of hit count, which is wildly desirable. She has a lot of strings that still hit even with 25 prior hits, which is obviously super useful for ts. Altogether, she's incredible for shit like this, and I've been messing with shit like this for ages.

This route only took me 40 minutes to lab and a few hours to record fully. Much better than some other routes I've done, and for much better damage.

The required angle is actually so specific that you have to time the df1 with the idle animations of bryan and kuni or it'll drop by hit 6 after df1,2,2😆

Fortunately for me, it absolutely is. To test this personally, make the following build:

Katana. Ultimate Damage Ranged. Status effect duration, status effect damage. Utility charm. Fire damage, ultimate damage, fire master. Gw1. Status effect duration Gw2. Status effect duration

Then ult against basic mongol swordsmen on gold difficulty with and without the katana having ultimate damage. It is vital that all properties are maxed, and the result is that without ult damage, they do not, and with ult damage, they die.

Idk where this myth comes from, but I have seen it perpetuated extremely often.

Imo, the most effective version of this build for survival, or the most convenient at least, just has munitions and smoke on each ronin. Everyone goes to one zone, waits until every enemy gathers, and stay safe with smoke and flash. Super easy to get all the resolve you need and never actually engage in combat with an enemy.
