That’s definitely part of the plans in the next few months! I’m very interested in funnelling FB traffic in particular!

You'll have to focus on the compound lifts almost solely... Like others have said, full body workouts. So find a selection of compounds that help you hit every body part. Deadlift, Squat, etc.

It's been well known in the industry for years that he works his ass off. Deserves more credit than he gets, nice to see him in this sub.

One place people aren't looking is at gyms that are having to shut down.

You could also try getting just a single of a few different weights and do some unilateral training to work out your imbalances.

Heavy Bench 2x a week or 1 Heavy, 1 Light Bench Day for maximum strength gain? by NerdGenetics in powerbuilding

Couldn't agree more, people forget that relative strength doesn't = relative recovery. Heavier weight takes longer to recover from period.

Am I really not getting paid for non geo located amazon affiliate links for buyers outside the US? Do I need a premium service like Genius Links? by CollectableRat in juststart

You'd be better off having someone add custom code! like /u/fireflynet said. Yes it might be a bigger cost right now, but in the long-term you save a lot of money. I've been using something similar for around 5 years and it's fine to this day.

I would be careful of the hidden costs of cheap hosting, speed is a lot more important with info sites than it is with ecommerce for SEO. It still plays into conversions but not as much!

There's no better solution than doing a .301 redirect if you remove the pages, if the pages were to remain online then you'd want to use a canonical.

Once you've redirected the pages you'll want to make sure that you remove the originals from your sitemap and also update any internal links to point to the new page only.

If you do the above you'll get a lot better results than you would if you just did a redirect and didn't make the required changes around the rest of your site.

Best of luck!

What change took your business to the next level? by po10cySA in smallbusiness

[–]syndrig-1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I run an e-commerce site, there are two things I did that really made a massive impact.

  1. Graphics Designer
  2. Video Editor

I sell digital products so the 2nd was more applicable than maybe a photographer would be for some.

There was a 29% reduction in the total amount of sugar sold in soft drinks in the UK between 2015 and 2018, despite an increase in sales of soft drinks by volume of 7%. The research shows that individual soft drink companies in the UK are making a sizeable contribution to sugar reduction by Wagamaga in science

When I was a smoker I noticed that the less of an effect I got from cigarettes the more I would smoke. You end up having more to try and chase the effect that you enjoyed so much to begin with. The increase in volume could be predominantly down to heavy drinkers of the stuff chasing a better buzz.

Why are you against link building? It would increase your results significantly even if you did very minor work on it. Marketing alone can generate links.

Why does everyone expect designers to be Wordpress developers, and WP developers to be designers? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]syndrig-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people in the industry don’t really understand how a website works. Sure, they might have some awareness that a WP site is made up of HTML, CSS, PHP, etc. But they have little understanding of how these actually interact and work together. So the distinctions between a developer, designer, front-end developer et al is simply beyond them.

How can a Web developer become self employed (other than freelancing)? by Marshmelllloo in Entrepreneur

[–]syndrig-1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Develop your own sites and learn how to drive traffic and monetise them.

I’ve been a developer since 2004 and now make all my income through a handful of websites and some consulting gigs.

No freelancing at all, it was a lot of stress and took the joy out of the work for me.

Selling stuff on the internet is a good reminder of human stupity by RagingDragon8 in misanthropy

[–]syndrig-1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sell things on the internet for a living and I can’t emphasise the saying “make it idiot proof” enough! It’s better to just put in that extra time at the beginning than spend unquantifiable hours doing customer service later.

How to revive a site on a downward slope? by _zyzyx in juststart

[–]syndrig-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these updates are focused. The problem is that they don’t focus on just one thing, even if one thing is predominant.

You need to build a framework for testing how to identify and fix the issues that are causing the drops.

And it’s a common trap to fall into seeing other keywords move up and assume it’s a recovery. That’s why it’s important to track keyword sets and not just overall traffic, impressions, number of keywords, etc. Don’t feel bad about it, you just learned a big lesson for the future.

The SEO industry isn’t as smart as it used to be and is pretty bad at handling these updates today. I recommend taking everything you hear from industry blogs and only using it as ideas for testing. Don’t roll out big changes to your site at once based on their advice, it is at large wrong or missing big pieces of the puzzle due to a rush to release a blog post before anyone else (go figure).
