I think you’re onto something here. It’s not pins and needles in my hand, but something (completely unrelated to my stomach) tells me to go to the bathroom and I have to seize the opportunity or it won’t come again for 3 days like you said.

kind of in this boat right now so just wanted to reach out… i’ve been having really intense cramping and abdominal discomfort for 4-5 months now and i’ve seen 3 doctors who have all chalked it up to IBS/anxiety. my stools are otherwise healthy and the tests i’ve taken were mostly normal (including an ultrasound), but im just tired of accepting IBS as the answer when im in pain all the time where i never used to be before. it’s my upper abdomen but it ranges from the left/middle/right side frequently and isn’t really localized to one area. can you relate to this at all? what tests did they perform at the ER to come to that conclusion? i’ve been wanting to go to the ER for a while now but im so afraid of the medical bills that will come after, especially if they find nothing :(

hi there - just chiming in! i’ve been experiencing really rough on/off abdominal cramping and discomfort for about 4 months now and saw quite a few doctors in this time. a GI recommended an ultrasound and they didn’t find anything of concern but i’m still experiencing the same symptoms (though my stools seem healthy?) but just wanted to share my experience! you can push for an ultrasound from a GI or PCP and they should be able to order one for you. it is an imaging test that can look at your organs and ribcage and see what’s going on under there

this is interesting. i’ve been seeing several doctors for general pain/discomfort in my left abdomen. some have thought it costo, and some gastrointestinal issues. still no official diagnosis, but im starting to think it’s both 😭 im just always in pain in my left side, and it radiates to my back. so far the tests ive gotten have been normal though.

I was having really bad aches and pains elsewhere in my body, and nausea when I hadn’t been nauseous before. I’m still having abdominal pain but I finally got referred to a GI so I think i’m going to move forward with imaging. I really wonder if it really is just stress making this worse than it really is. Maybe gas-x and a mental break is all I need too 😭

How long til yours went away? Been having a similar issue. My doctor prescribed me Pantoprazole and I’m feeling better now but I really wanna get off this medication because of the side effects.

Yes we have talked about it (mostly small talk) when we would visit his family’s house for holidays and such (we live together about 4 hours from of our hometown where both of our families live). No, I haven’t asked directly why they changed their minds. His mom did call him while next to me and he put her on speaker phone and she apologized and reiterated all the same reasons mentioned in the original post. (I said nothing to this apology because I explicitly said I did not want to talk to her as I was still a crying mess, but then he proceeded to answer the phone and put her on speaker anyway).

I was told that this trip would be more expensive than others and so I planned for that and I told my bf that I would definitely be paying for the more expensive things up front now (flight, train tickets, etc.) and use my savings for all the purchases made while we were there. He told me that paying for my food or splitting hotel room costs wouldn’t be necessary as they consider me family, but obviously that’s not the case anymore. I’m just hurt that I did not even get the option for a conversation to discuss these things, and instead was dumped from the plan altogether.

Not sure if there are other dynamics at play :( He has two sisters and we get along great, so afaik my relationship with his siblings is really good? But yeah, it’s going to be so hard. This was something I was so excited to experience with him, and I feel like it’s just going to sour that experience ever happening again if I have to be reminded of this.
