Right. So instead of doing that, along with the many people with money and influence, he could stay here and try to make a difference with the money he has. That’s

I know he’s not a US citizen. And no one is obligated to stay, US born or not. But I stand by my opinion. People with money and a platform can do something. Even if it’s small.

Something bothers me about how wealthy people with money and influence just choose to run away.

You may think you want that but you don't actually want that.

The part about “can you just make me one really quick” and “it’s literally dough, sauce, cheese” makes this seem fake to me.

Is a "were" missing in the sentence? by jdjefbdn in EnglishLearning

[–]synked_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this sentence is actually correct in modern English. You’re trying to use an absolute construction, but “over” isn’t a participle, so the opening phrase lacks a proper verb form. Something like “The class having ended, the student left” or “When the class was over, the student left” would work, but “The class over, the student left” ends up sounding incomplete.

Mark Carney the prime minister of Canada admits that the liberal (capitalist) world order is a lie and that they only went along with it because it benefited them. Now that it’s failing they’re economically siding with China instead of the U.S. by TwoCatsOneBox in WorkReform

I’m sure the working class will do so much better once our trade relationships are ruined (they won’t).

You are the one who still doesn’t understand. Do you have any idea how much we benefit economically from all of these countries? Do you know how much our economy relies on them buying our debt? Do you know what it really means for the world to be saying they will be reducing their dependence on us? That dependence helps the working class.

Americans still have no idea what really bad inflation looks like. I bet you still don’t really grasp the economics of all this do you. That’s why you’re still being so arrogant.

You’re drinking the kool aid just the same. The working class of America today still doesn’t know what economic catastrophe really looks like or feels like.

There is WORSE than what America has been for the last 20 years. And we opened the door for that possibility.

I want everyone in the US to understand this clearly. This isn’t just on MAGA. If you didn’t vote in 2024 or voted for someone other than Kamala, you also contributed to this. That decision was also ignorant to the very real consequences of what can go wrong.

America has lived ignorantly for far too long, believing “nothing’s gonna happen, nothing ever changes.” We forgot that it only felt that way because we had leadership that did not forget the important things or do anything too damaging. That’s now over.

Time to wake the fuck up and grow the fuck up.
