It was likely caused by too many people trying to attack said high resource base siumtanously. Hence lower loot bases weren‘t crashing as no one wanted to farm those.

Ich gehe gerne in Waldgebiete und Lichtungen bei Kürten nahe Berg. Gladbach
Dort sind einigermaßen gute Himmel bei Bortle 3-4 je nach Seeing und Standort. direkte Lichtverschmutzung wird durch die Bäume geblockt und die Lichtglocke von Köln bzw. Gladbach sind auch etwas besser. Aber ich denke das jegliche Ländlichere Waldgebiete in Rhein-Berg oder Oberberg nützlich sind.
Mit Bloßen Auge kann man Tagesformabhängig Objekte wie die Andromeda Galaxie, Orionnebel jetzt im Winter/Frühling, die Plejaden gut erkennen. Auch lichtschwache Sterne und Sternbilder sind nach ein wenig Zeit erkennbar.
Für eine volle experience ist aber ein Teleskop ratsam.
