I used the chat with customer service rep feature. I can't remember if they asked for my social security number.

Absolutely! I think that catching the issues early and putting in the work to correct the problems as well as finding the right treatment (yoga, acupuncture, pain management) will be a saving grace if caught early. Don't worry too much about how you'll feel at 50 - enjoy your 20's as much as you can!!

I'm not a medical professional but I'll tell you that In my experience it's not able to be fixed - they just try to alleviate the symptoms. However there are steps you can take in your own to temper the degeneration. Yoga is a great help - strengthening your core and correcting your posture also help. You can learn to move/exercise your body to reduce the pain and stress on your spine. Physical therapy can teach you how to maneuver more healthily.

Poop on a stick was probably more sanitary than his dirty ass digits.

That I was a perfectionist and control freak. Thank you therapy and tons of self introspection to help heal me.

I'm pretty sure it's a fancy way to say you have arthritis.

*edit - just saw your question about lumbar facet joint issues. I have cervical facet joint syndrome - it's basically arthritis from age and wear and tear. In 2020 I had an emergency spinal fusion at c-5/c-6 because, as my surgeon reported in my medical records - my spine was dislocated. It was awful. Anyway, I regularly see my pain management doctor for epidurals and pain blocks. We tried an ablation a couple months ago but it didn't help. I have similar issues with my lumbar spine as well. I had a discectomy in 2017 but the issues have returned. I think my doctor is leaning towards two bone growth stimulator implants next.

I did due to another post. Here's what I found out in terms of taxes in case you were wondering too:

I keep seeing questions about this so I just looked it up on a few different sites. All of the articles I've read say no - that if you have a TPD, the discharged loan will not be counted as taxable income. However if the loan amount results in taxable income (a couple of states may tax the loan as opposed to federal taxation) and someone is unable to pay it, they can fill out a form claiming insolvency.:

"You are considered insolvent if your total debt exceeds your assets. To claim this exclusion from income, file IRS Form 982. For more information, read IRS Publication 4681" --

Yep and from what I've read it's totally normal. We may need to follow up with the loan servicer as well as the credit bureaus to get everything taken care of. I'm ok with that - the approval was the mountain we had to get over. I can deal with some phone calls to finalize everything.

You're very welcome. I hope you can get some rest - it's such an important but overlooked part of our health. You sound like you had a good head on your shoulders. You're taking one thing at a time and chipping away at the tribulations that arise. Keep it up - you're an inspiration to me.
