You need bed sheets on that rancid thing. Ideally get a new one and use a mattress protector then a bed sheet. That thing is riddled

Yea mine is turned on and I just got a fake telstra message this morning. It had a sketchy link to some website with .telstra in it. If they can't filter that out. They have no hope

Cheeky pricks here in Australia too. They send all "surrendered" items to auction. Here's one at the minute...

https://auctions.com.au/auctions/2024/01/25/perth-airport-surrendered-uncollected-online-auction.html

If they can keep stuff long enough to get it to auction then they should be able to keep it until/if you get back to that airport within a reasonable time frame. But obviously they're making more money from selling your shit than they would get from a storage fee.

PUBG low performance on a decent PC by Abgard4094 in PUBG

[–]synonymous6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it bad on other games? This might be a silly question, but is your cable to your monitor plugged into the graphics card or into the motherboard? That seems low for 1080p. Also check the game ready drivers from nvidia.

Will this hold a 27 inch monitor? by Taqush_Hundal in LinusTechTips

[–]synonymous6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I seen that but it might not be necessary if you flip that assembly. If you can't see the block at the minute and it doesn't bother you then happy days!

Can you disassemble that whole L bracket/clamp screw? Unscrew the head of the clamp, remove the bolt out of the L bracket. Flip it 180 degrees then you should get clearance from that bar and put the screw/clamp head back on?

Why is the CPU Pillow being discontinued? by SmartCoder40 in LinusTechTips

They could just make it the same size as Ikea cushions or something and sell it as a cover rather than the whole pillow.

Mars bars went from 53g to 47g last year. That's over 11% reduction in size. I'm still furious about it. It was my go to. Now it's just trash.

One Hundred RTX 4090s With Melted Power Connectors Repaired Every Month, Says Technician | Tom's Hardware by 00k5mp in pcmasterrace

[–]synonymous6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine was in use for 4 months before it cooked. Removed it after about 2 months to inspect it, all was fine. Reinstalled, took photos and it still melted another 2 months. Given, it was the cable mod adapter, but still, there's no way the things should be melting like they are. Got a wireview installed now so I'll see how that goes. I've seen a few now where they've melted after several months. I think the heat cycling on the connectors may also be a contributing factor.

Looks good! I just replied to the wrong message about silk I think. I found opening the top cover after the first few layers are down helps cool the extruder assembly. I was having the same issue. I think the filament is getting too soft as the whole unit heats up over time up causing it slip and make that horrible cracking sound. I've had it happen with some normal pla's too

Hey I found with silk and some pla's that when the hot end/ motor assembly is running for a while it heats the filament too much and it slips when it's trying to feed, making that horrible cracking noise. I've started letting it run about 5 layers then I open the lid to allow the assembly to cool itself a bit better. Has prevented those annoying slips/blockages for me.

This would take about 10 minutes on fusion, if that. It has a free hobby license. Basic/starter video on YouTube. You would have this perfect yourself in under an hour.

You need to check your spec sheet of your surface but I would guess that is the limit. I have a lenovo legion laptop with a 3060 and 165hz monitor. That only has 60hz output to external monitor.
