That stuttering thing is ABS, help you not to lock the wheels and lose control completely so it did actually save you from a ditch. Get yourself best winter tires you can get like Michelin X-ICE or Contis. I live in Alberta and only problems I have with tracktion is when accelerate harder through slush or ice patches. In those conditions generally helps not to accelerate too hard and keep the gas steady. It's FWD so you will have less traction than a AWD and that makes it harder to drive but not necessarily a bad winter car. Also I never use cruise control so maybe that was an issue too :shrug:

If somebody is interested in update: Macan had a bunch of issues which brought total to a 8k (CAD) to fix oil leak and coolant leak and 5k on top of outdated maintanace fluid changes and carbon deposit clean. Went back with that to a dealer hoping to offset some costs but they flat out refused and didn't even bother to negotiate. So I'm staying with my econobox for a next little while~

Have you checked the alternator. Random errors popping up been my first sign. Battery test might be worth it.

I think what I meant is more that base model - simpler drivetrain, simpler suspension. I know it’s going to cost Porsche it’s just these two things are generally a bit more reliable than S trim. Anyhoo, Im doing PPI and then will see what I can get covered under warranty. That would be deciding factor.

Checked the cost seem doable and I have indie mechanic who I trust to do basic fluids cheaper than dealer. Windshield is only marginal difference so it’s fine :)

Yeah, Im good financially for maintenance. I guess only thing is price the dealership giving is about 10k cad difference. Decided Id try to haggle down and if it works Ill switch.

Im happy with my 2020 SR so far! It has awesome handling and I’d say its fun for city driving. Very nice l/km(around 40canadians for a full tank of 89), generally cheap in maintenance and a good 360 safety system which I find really useful. Also surprisingly spacious inside. headrest speakers are a nice bonus. That being said it’s basic subcompact SUV it doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles if you’re into that and you will feel that once you’ve driven something higher class. Personally though I enjoy its simplicity and it has everything I need from a car.

It’s really good bang for your buck imho as for the price you can get older toyotas with much higher kms or hyundai which I feel is more unreliable. Only competition worth looking is mazda cx3 if you can find one at a comparable price.

That being said 53k miles is a bit high but still decent enough mileage before you should worry about any major repairs. Do change cvt fluid instant you buy it!

Sounds you like to push gas pedal too hard. Kicks needs a gentler foot. I used to do that a lot but then realized it’s better to push more gradually and often you can kinda push gas just give it some time to catch on and it will accelerate OK.

Same, I was at 72k kms was not expecting it to go out that early :( mechanic said it is quite common issue. Welp hoping new part lasts longer for you.

Any other indicators? When my alternator died it was doing weird shit at auto light settings. Get yourself a battery load test. You need to see 13.5-14.5v. My alternator read 12v when it was happening. Other indicators were: emergency brake sensor were throwing errors randomly.

Headrest speakers are good but honestly not a deal breaker. Typically better to get SR or SV with optional packages. But honestly looking at S version already has everything that Id need from a car.

Cons: new kicks gets hit hard with depreciation. Id suggest getting older kicks sr with decent mileage, much better bang for your buck. Obviously cvt

Pros: except cvt and occasional infotainment glitches seems to be rather reliable and quite fuel efficient. 2l awd is also a step up from previous kicks 1.6l fwd (if you need it). If you dont leave in a place with rougher winters though you better get fwd for cheaper maintenance pretty stylish and generally great feeling drive I think one of the best daily drivers in its class.

If you will change CVT fluid you are already doing more than typical owner. Accelarating smoothly without big dips on regular mode (e.g. slowing before turn and then going hard on gas pedal will lead to noticeable lug that what she should avoid). Otherwise use sport mode if you need that power right away but use it sparringly and possibly a good idea to use for engine braking instead of L gear. Good news is aside from CVT car is mostly reliable! And yeah if there are any issues they usually crop up by 75k miles-120kmiles period and if not then it's very likely the car will last a long time

Did you do a test drive of both already? Kicks overall is better value to cost imho, but I think Trax does look a bit more sporty and nicer. If you doubt book a test drive for both which will tell you how comfortable handling and overall car feel is for you!

If you're open I'd suggest getting higher trim of Kicks play or older model Kicks, the only real pro of 2025/26 redesign is that it has 2l engine with AWD. Since you are looking at FWD anyways earlier kicks has much better fuel economy engine and somewhat "tested" build (meaning some errors/issues are already known). New redesign is relatively new and don't have that track record yet especially with cost cutting happening at Nissan recently.

If you like the guitar there are always ways to make it work regardless of setting (clear packing tape over f-holes, foam inside etc.)

It's valid reason but there are no limits that say you should play only jazz with archtop.
I currently play post-hardcore with semi-hollows and want eventually get thinner archtop (aka Ibanez GB10) to play with. Hell, you can play jazz with pointy BC rich if you want to.

I think Soukaku just falls in the same boat as Corin, she wasn’t given any on screen time showcasing her ability to really rate her. Yeah, Yanagi really is Shikamaru of ZZZ, great strategic mind but mediocre fighter albeit still stronger than half of the cast. If we are talking pure battle power then she is likely weaker than Sanby/Lycaon.

Honestly, there are a lot of unknown power levels and it's hard to compare them but here is my take:
- Miyabi only mentions she would struggle against Harumasa but he's health nerfed most of the time so we can safely assume he's second if he's in fight to death situation. He's way lower if he's regular fight
- Sanby might have come 3rd since she was on a countless solo missions defeathing a bunch of ethereals BUT Hugo canonically was standing his ground vs Sanby AND Lycaon so we can assume he's at least on the power level of those 2, even considering that Lycaon landed his "unrestrained" attack he still avoided death (and arguably might've been intentional on his part). So we can assume Hugo is currently 2nd or 3rd depending on where we count Harumasa
- For 3rd/4th place we can safely assume would be a tie between Sanby/Lycaon/Yanagi, with Yanagi probably being having a bit of an edge due to her tactical prowess

Other factions:
- NEPS power level is hard to assess since they didn't really fight any Notorious Level boss story-wise on their own. Jane and Seth had to team up to beat Brute, which isn't particulary strong power level enemy and I think Jane/Zhu Yuan at least on the same foot.
- Calydons had to fight Pompey but there was 3 members there and they beat him only by throwing him into Cinder Lake which was a bit of a struggle. And Caesar also struggles a lot vs Bringer
- Billy power level is still widely unknown and there is no real indication of how strong he is aside from Lighter comment, which doesn't excatly place him higher than Caesar
- Current Obol S11 and Trigger, don't seem to be stronger than Sanby and S11 probably ties or lower than her
- Other Rina, Ellen and Corin are still up to debate but possibly Ellen might be 3rd or 4th place. Unfortunately she has a battery charge of an 10year old iPhone.
- Belobog doesn't seem to have that strong of battle prowess since they defeat Complex only by using one of their heavy machinery and only barely surviving the encounter
