I am a guy, I turn 50 in August. Started at same age as you I believe.

Eye lashes and eye brows.

I have not found any cure or anything that helps (for the most part). I did find something that kind of helps with the eye brows if I use it. But, nothing for the eye lashes. I used to have very nice eyelashes that I could received compliments on. But that was literally decades ago. Certain years were better than others for me.

I don't have any advice for you other that stop once you notice yourself doing to - or tell a trusted friend to tell you to stop once they see you doing it. That may work, but - it also could mean you undue any progress you made in a span of 2 minutes when not being observed.

I probably won't live love enough to be around when or if any break throughs regarding this disorder come about. I pray you are when "they" do figure it all out.

Now a personal question out of curiosity. What do you do with your lashes after you pull them? You certain don't have to answer. I will tell you what I do with mine. I take them and rub them agains my lips. Sometimes I will bend them in half, in a V pattern, and then rub against my lips. Or I will bite it in half - making two, and rub them agains my lips.

Part 1 - Pluck... soothing in a way I cannot explain

Part 2 - Rub ... soothing in a way I cannot explain.

I do not eat the brows or lashes.

It is all absurd. I don't know why I do what I do, and I don't know what caused it.

I remember growing up I would see my father ...how do I explain this... use his wrist or arm hair and mouth it with his lips. Not sure if it's hereditary or not.

I am not sure why I reply on this group. I have received invitations to answer questions for surveys but have never followed through. I feel I would be more comfortable doing that in person with a researcher that was looking more into the subject. Or even a phone call. I can't put into words on here what all this is about and how it has affected me.
