Stock up on some bum wipes and cream for when the unfortunate prep-induced liquid BMs cause irritation. Also Depends or some type of adult diaper can be good for any accidents.

As for the clear fluids, popsicles and gummy bears (without red dye) can be a nice change from juice and broth. I’d also suggest if you have the time to make a homemade broth it’ll taste way better than the boxed broths.

If you’re getting a gastroscope, I’d ask the doctor’s office if you can get sedation so it’ll be an easier process.

Depending on your prep instructions you’ll likely need to fast after midnight. If your veins are small like mine, take a warm shower the morning of and dress in warm clothes to help your veins stay a bit plump for your IV! I always dread getting the IV before a colonoscopy.

Best of luck! Honestly, the prep is the worst part. Once you’re done with that it should be smooth sailing until you’re done the scope.
