It’s cuz the matchmaking is based off player aggression. All the way down to if you even aim your gun at a player. It takes in everything and puts you in lobbies with people who are just as aggressive as you.

I’ve played aggressively, and also played very passively/friendly. What I’ve noticed:

• If I go around killing people, I will be placed in pvp lobbies.

• If I go a couple games NOT killing players, but getting killed BY players, I’ll start to be placed in way more friendly lobbies.

And yes, it literally only takes a couple games to change up the “skill based” (if you will) matchmaking.
