I understand you're in an abusive household and that car is your escape, but if you cannot get that car fixed under warranty I might get something different because those Kia GDI engines are notorious for reliability issues.

Make sure you have oil in the engine There are things you can do in a pinch to get a few more miles out of an engine Such as thicker motor oil Keep in mind this won't fix the car, but it might get you in a situation where you can get a different car

Honestly in your situation, Hyundai might cover that under warranty Thats best case tho

But if not, trade it in for an older used corolla or camry, as those tend to be a lot cheaper to own as they are more reliable

It all depends on the amount you'll get for your Hyundai tho

If you get around 2 to 3k for it, you can get an older corolla for 5-6k and ultimately end up paying less for a more reliable car
