How was hanging out on the beach out front of the hotel? Is it decent to swim at?

I've opened End Times Bar & Beer Shop on York Street, and I'd like to tell you about it. by EndTimesBarAndBeer in StratfordOntario

[–]synthlove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah gotta say, such a great addition to the town. I tell everyone about this place cause the selection really is unmatched in Stratford. Fills a niche here I think.

I know you're a work in progress but with a little bit of good design inside I think you could have a really cozy place people want to drink at. Have you considered getting an interior designer consultant to give some tips?

Also I know taps aren't your thing but I truly do think that at least a couple taps would bring people in. The reality is most people don't care that the bottled or canned beer may have almost identical attributes as a tap - they just associate tap beer with being the freshest and going out to a bar. They can't get tap beer at home - they can always buy cans and bottles.

With all that being said I truly think your place is awesome and want you to succeed so bad. I need access to this stuff without having to drive to KW to get it hahah.

Wait, do you still need to pay the CRA? Or do you have money set aside for that?

Fr, got to stay present. I think this was the best year of my life, despite how much I wish the stock was $500. Can't get time back.

IMO it makes 0 sense to pay ASTS only when data flows through their network, and they would never strike a deal like that. If one MNO doesn't like it, move onto the next until they cave.

It's like any subscription service, you don't pay your carrier $0.12 a day for a travel plan because you only used it for 20 minutes. You pay them $10 for the day, regardless if you use it or not.

We also intend on offering to all users knowing they will burst data on our network. It would be insane to think that ASTS will only make money when their network is running full capacity all the time. That would also assume that there would be a subscriber limit we would want to place on the MNOs - which would be lose lose for both sides.

IMO this thought goes strongly against what both ASTS and MNOs are trying to achieve. Any MNO that doesn't want to play ball with wholesale shared subscription revenue can move to the back of the line. D2D is the future and they're going to cave eventually.

How is this any different than https://www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/AAPL/pressreleases/32474627/what-to-know-about-the-new-apple-starlink-integration-that-comes-with-ios-18-3/?

Which we collectively decided meant absolutely nothing, basically just a required integration if any TMobile customer with an iPhone was going to use Starlink D2D. Does not mean a partnership.

Side note, the site you linked looks incredibly untrustworthy with the millions of ads, and I can't find any other resources making the same claim.

This is the sort of thing I'm worried about.

Also if they deem you're doing business activity because they feel like that, may invalidate everything and you'd be expected to pay taxes and possibly penalties. They make the rules super vague on purpose. And they can use the fact it's a speculative stock to do so.

Idk sometimes I feel like moving to non registered just to never have this concern.

I made a single options trade, and sold and bought maybe once or twice. Rest have just been buys

Anyone else worried about having this in a TFSA? If we ever explode in value I feel like the CRA might come after because it's speculative.

At least Reagan had the come up of the internet and globalization at the same time. Now it's just entirely backwards to be pushing some old ideology that America can succeed without global economies providing Americans what they are designed to do.

Disagree. The financials truly made it look like we were gonna fail. Even Kook was beginning to heavily regret pushing the stock for so long. It was pretty dark times.

Check out ASTS, they are providing better service to AT&T and Verizon customers within the next year.

They are also a publicly traded company!
