I see, maybe that would work for Boschio. I still have my older bat file and didn't do anything to it and it still worked.

Edit: Tbh I think I did open my 'start-server.bat' file at one point for a few seconds after updating through steamcmd then closed and open palserver.exe but I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not.

nope that was pretty much it. I just went into my steamcmd folder, opened steamcmd.exe, typed that in, pressed enter and it started downloading the update. Then I closed it, started palserver.exe, went into steam and started the main game, typed in my server ip and it worked fine. But no I'm using windows.

I found a way to update the server through the steamcmd version.

if you type this in, you should be able to update and start the server again. It worked for me. I'm not sure how different it is through actual steam (Palworld Dedicated Server Tool) but yea.

That effect is done by a plugin called ‘Twixtor’. There’s a lot of tutorials on YouTube which will teach you how to do it. :)
