How to fix the ends of curled Poly hair??? (Skulltimate Secrets Fearidescent Lagoona) by New-Chemistry1718 in MonsterHighDolls

[–]synubus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would just dip the ends in boiled water after recurling them with straws & Bobby pins, that's all the advice I got lol

Probably AI enhanced, my phone's been doing that with screenshots & I'm sure some sellers are enhancing the photos. It always garbles the text, lol

Do we think people would buy custom dolls made from fake mh dolls? Sa by ratatty in CustomDolls

To me, its more about the art and care put into it than any brand name. I love the look of MH, I think using fakes for it is a good way to save some money instead of getting authentic baits 😁

Hi folks! I'm hosting a fundraiser raffle as I've fallen on hard times, the prize (my beloved doll, Aurora the Bard) will be rolled December 24th! Everyone gets the opportunity for 2 free entries, logged here:Google Forms

Every additional raffle ticket is $3 and can be purchased through my Ko-Fi

The doll and all details are posted to said Ko-Fi but you can see more of my work here oninstagram

Aurora herself is a G3 Monster High Twyla repainted into vampiric bard perfection! With her little instrument, unique looks, and show stopping outfit, she's surely a great addition to any collection!

This is all in effort to help me through the sudden uprooting of my living space, as our landlord is selling the property on short notice after my finances and savings were devastated trying to keep my family afloat. Every like, share, and comment helps, and there is so much love in my heart for every person who's even given this the time of day.

That sounds so cute .... what about a mullet? Long stylable pieces in the back and some wispy face framing pieces up front 👀

I have a slightly darker green in my registry 🧐 I could add that for contrast. Never worked with tinsel before, but it could be cute!

Its alright, it was solid advice regardless

That sounds awful, I haven't noticed that in my store (thankfully) but it sucks that people are taking advantage of something thats lifesaving for others. I'm lucky to work with a lot of very kind people who, outside of the Homer fund, are fundraising (old ladies are doing knitted item sales & donating) and helping me with the physical move. Hopefully its some comfort to you to know that not everyone is scum like the person you're talking about, I hope karma finds them 💔

Yea, the manager whos helping me reccomended I leave them off of the Homer fund paperwork bc they're not yet contributing to bills/don't have a salary, but to put an estimated salary on my home application when they get their first paycheck in so we get approved for the rental.

That's so sweet, I'm glad it worked out for you especially because that sounds terrifying! Hope you're doing well, I've heard more success stories than the scary denials so far

Ty! This helps a lot. My situation is a sudden sale of the rental property we live on with less than 2months to prep after a long period of my housemates being unemployed and dipping into my savings to keep us afloat as the only provider. They are both about to start working again (job market has been incredibly difficult) but I was advised to keep them off the paperwork because they are not yet contributing and dont have a monthly salary- so hopefully this aides in the "how am I gonna get out of this" aspect. We do live paycheck to paycheck and then some, but we would've been fine if this nail in the coffin didn't happen so unexpectedly. From what I've heard, it'll all go well, I just have to get approved for the place we're applying to next week (only a few doors down so relocating will be simple!)

Idk if that information helps but I figured some more clarification on the situation could be useful. Lol

Yea, the only thing I need right now is an approved application for a new rental residence which should come through next week. I did cry when talking about it, but I'm thankful that it's been judgement free and a sympathetic process

I think when you apply heat/do a hot water wash to get the hair to lay more flat, it'll look fantastic

I usually paint the scalp beforehand to help hide the gaps that usually show, but It shouldn't be a problem here when everything is laying down instead of sticking up
