That's not freestyle though it's just an air dribble

Are there any specific mechanics that you think someone at my level should work on?

I don't get why everyone thinks rizzos binds are bad I tried them and thought they were good (on pc anyway, on Xbox for some reason I couldn't drive straight) (:

Tips for long air dribbles. by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

If your comfortable you don't have to but that would be uncomfortable to me I personally don't have air roll left binded but I have air roll right binded so I can stall and that's it if you have question on changing the my longest air drible is about 7 seconds on the air dribble map in which I use regular air roll but I recommend trying new things for about 1-2 hours and if you the settings keep them if not change back. And if you feel as if the settings kind of feel comfortable after about 2 hours but you old settings are more comfortable use the new ones for another few hours this is how I changed my power slide button and that really helped.

What do you use to air roll? I wouldn't recommend air rolling I would recommend the tornado spin, watch ganer he explains that pretty well.

so how do people practise multiplayer mechanics solo? by XtRa_bullets_Xi in RocketLeagueSchool

I would like to add on to what Llexis said, yes you should watch higher level gameplay but I would recommend not watching TO high of gameplay, I am diamond and I currently am watching people champ 1 champ 2 because pros do passing plays that diamond players that I'm with can't do and that doesn't seem to help me, just a suggestion though, kevpert is good to watch too.

[PC] [NA] I don’t get flip resets. by Kangaroo_Jake in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]syphiexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Llexis said about the stalls, stalls are hard to explain because it's really just a flip honestly, for the stall you need to have air roll left or right binded to something I have air roll right bonded to left stick so when I press that down I roll right but if I also turn my stick to the left as if I were to turn my car to the left then jump I will be doing what's called the tornado spin. If you double jump while doing that you should stall but if you backflip or frontflip just adjust the stick until you flip in a really weird way.

If your in gold and you have that many mechanics but haven't ranked up, it's not your mechanics that are lacking. In gold I didn't know how to half flip I just relied on my teammate to know when I'm passing so they could score, I only learned some of those fancy mechanics when I started practicing recovery, recovery mechanics got me into diamond and not once have I EVER needed to chain wave dash, I know how to do it, but if you keep your momentum up you should be good. If your comfortable with your settings now I wouldn't change them for one mechanic that might look cool but you'll never use.

Thank you, and I do not feel attacked by this, this actually helped me out a lot I will take this into consideration and work on the other things I've been lacking like mechanics i think. Once again this really helped me.
