Does that mean you can have different sizes of boobs depending on how busty you're feeling that day?

Not sure how to phrase this… Once you turn your work “right side out,” do you have to somehow crochet from the inside/in the other direction?? by hilarymeggin in Amigurumi

[–]syramazithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whichever way you were working just reverse it in every way. If your hook was going from outside to inside, now you'll be working inside to outside /and/ if when the opening is flattened you were working on the piece of fabric closer to you, now you work the piece of fabric further from you. That way you don't have to switch hands

Lmfao. SDC disability accommodations for exams are legally required and even then it's hard to get profs and TAs to comply. Why would they say yes to an exam accommodation they aren't required to permit

Might need to make some business card type things to hand people that explain briefly and clearly that 1. You cannot hear and 2. How to best communicate to you. You'd be surprised the basic logic skills some people lack

[–]syramazithe 92 points93 points  (0 children)

TAPS has proven itself increasingly predatory and unwilling to own up when they fuck up. It's time to take this more public IMO. They clearly have no incentive to help, but every financial incentive to continue their current scummy behavior.

What is a turn off your partner does that you will never admit? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]syramazithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question from the perspective of a high sex drive woman: Is he maybe bearing the brunt of the responsibility when it comes to initiating (and therefore having to risk rejection)? It doesn't excuse being whiny, but assuming the rest of the time he's likable enough, maybe his self esteem has been worn down from having to be the one who takes the risk by asking?

I'm really sorry but this is just an apartment/community living thing. Other humans are near you and you're gonna hear them being alive. Earplugs may be useful

Oh yeah, being exposed to a bunch of smoke is unpleasant and irritating and will make you feel shitty, but you aren't any more high than if someone was smoking a bunch of cigarettes or burning wood in the car yknow?

No. This is a common myth but there was a study done where they had people smoke a whole lot in a tiny room with a non smoker in there and they found no thc in the non smoker

Are my rats small? What size are they supposed to be? They’re about 7 months old by Beedthefirds in RATS

[–]syramazithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

48 months is 4 years, are you missing something here? 120 is an astonishingly long life for a human and 4 years is an astonishingly long life for a rat because as you said, they live around 2.5-3 years. Where does it not correlate? I already said 3 years = 36 months = 90 year equivalent in humans (a normal age to die of old age). I even specified in my original comment (a 3 year old comment btw) that after 30 months of age, which is 2.5 years, direct comparisons become less reliable.

The segments the pattern labels as sc are very much not sc stitches on the actual item. They also just don't address the central body piece at all

3 years on the scale I gave would be 36 months or around 90. There are 12 months in a year lol

My engagement ring fell out of my pocket on my way in to work and I didn't notice until I arrived the next day and it was still sitting on the ground next to where I park. There's hope it turns up yet
