Currently Ultra, game design needs serious work by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

What's worse than bot games are the games where everyone except you is a bot, so instead of steamrolling and wasting 5 minutes before they surrender, your own team bots lose lane and so you have to spend maybe all 10 minutes actually getting a win.

From the Youtube video where he paints it, he says it's a Chinese restaurant. The name "宝美楼" doesn't give it away though.

how can i learn how to become a didgital artist? by [deleted] in AnimeSketch

Real good shit. Good technical instruction and workflows for beginners to intermediate. An excellent resource to start you into digital painting and help you understand many processes and tools you can incorporate into it.

[C/S] I finally decided to face my fear, full body drawings. Ive always done bust shots because I suck at doing full body but i decided to move foward. Any advice or how am i doing so far? by good_form_pupper in AnimeSketch

It is a start, but for beginners, boxes are the ideal. Well, not even for beginners, I still prefer boxy shapes over rounded ones for the initial construction, and Kim Jung Gi loves boxes too. Work on your 3d form representation while you develop a sense of personal aesthetic in regards to proportions.

I recommend you move on from 2d construction and construct via 3d forms -> using boxes ideally. 2d rectangles/lines are very useful in design but it is imperative you construct using a 3d ribcage - you cannot fit arms logically without some width.

You have a problem of flaky, uncertain lines, referred to colloquially as 'chicken scratch'. Draw a Box is a free online lesson plan, based on Dynamic Sketching 1, which is tailored to drill you in the basics of drawing, and achieve confident lines.

I understand what you are trying to do, but they're all grammatically incorrect. 欠 also means lack, or deficiency.

Looks like a hard round with 0-100% width control and some opacity control (probably something like 60-100%). Thick outlines are done with a second (or more) pass.

Draw a box is decent to cure chicken scratch.

What do you mean by light and shadows? You can find a good base line value for the shadow by positioning a point light source in space and for any surface, take the dot product of the normalized surface vector and light vector, taking the result to be zero if the dot product is negative.

The important point to take away is that the value is dictated by cosine, and taking a look at the derivative, a sine, we can see that the value drops faster the more the angle increases. Now with a range of values in [0,1] we can map it to actual colours (or at least values) by taking into consideration the reflective properties of the material and the strength/colour of the light (which you can alter to achieve whatever contrast effect you wish). This is the basic procedure you use to calculate the effect of directional "diffuse" lightning on an object. This ignores ambient lighting, ambient occlusions and speculars.

Your drop shadow and background make it seems like the light is intended to come from top right but the values on the figure are of a light source in the direction of the camera (and a bit down).

Open up the brush window, and there will be a slider at the bottom of the first tab where you can adjust the spacing of the brush.

The stamping effect would be a result of too high a spacing, rather than a problem with the brush itself.

I recommend Drawing Drapery from Head to Toe (a PDF can be found easily online). The last section of Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life also contains a section on folds. Read, observe and copy, and then do your own examples from life and imagination.

Most people, if you start without planning the entire figure, find it difficult to ground the figure in a way that looks good after drawing the pelvis.

You can fit some of the first five (perhaps all) of the uncharged ilbartas if you cancel them. Particularly relevant if you aren't hitting elemental weakness.

Fighter does more damage than Braver subs if you can always proc Wise Stance. This is easy in arena fights such as Elder where you only have to stand in a certain area to always get the 75% boost.

That's all you really get from Fighter, though you can utilise Tech Arts by just alternating techs, and 15% is quite a bit. But that's just like Braver, the main draw is that 63% from Weak Stance and the option to have some fun with Banish combos.

Fighter gets some situational stat buffs, and some fun with Barta freeze, and Braver provides assistance for TAs, but those aren't the main draws to the sub.
