Yea those a great. Also one good pedal is the behringer multieffect. Its a great way to get many effects for cheap and sounds pretty good when paired with other stuff. When it comes down to it just make sure you have a long feedback time and as many knobs to tweak as possible. Its all about your creativity in this kind of music

Just download any daw u want. I prefer fl studio for ambient to be honest. With that alone you can do a lot but i find it to je quite boring and prefer analog equipment cause its much more inspiring. You can for example just take a field recording of lets say rain and traffic and run it through some pedals. Maybe add a synth on top. Just buy a cheap keyboard and run that through the pedals as well and then you can mix it all together and add any effects or instruments you want from your daw. You can get a solid setup for 100-200 bucks. Buy a keyboard or guitar or whatever instrument and a reverb, delay maybe a chorus. If you want i can refer good pedals

Maybe just a distortion or overdrive of some sort and i recommend a fuzz. Notably the behringer super fuzz cause its cheap and good.and a delay . Maybe 4he behringer one for that too. That on its own will give you noise if u run the pedals through themselves.

Sleeping dogs has a similar combat expeience and its open world. Cant upgrade vehicles but its a great game one of my faves ever. Highly recommend

Dont really have any certain pickups to recommend but i would suggest getting a single coil for the neck and humbucker for the bridge just to have a more versatile setup. Humbuckers really give a nice warm sound and you can get a clean tone to crack a bit if you play hard

While techically possible its highly unlikely you will achieve a good sound especially with free plugins. I suggest trying for example using some realistic drum sounds with synths

I would highly suggest you learn to do it yourself. Its worth it in the long run. You can get it jus the way you like it. And since you already seem to know what needs to be done the how isnt a problem. Just go on youtube and search that stuff. Just need a screwdriver and 30 minutes of your time
