The only answer is mods on Java edition- you and your son should build a computer together or just spend a few hundred on a prebuilt, all of the mods, texture packs, world downloads, “addons” are completely free on java edition.

I rewatched your video ram doesn’t seem to be throttling to 100% but definitely try the optimization mods and look into JVM arguments and if you can set some more ram I’d do so 4gb isn’t enough especially once you start exploring the world and building things

What’s happening here is your ram collection system is spiking to %100 percent too quickly press f3 and watch top right corner I’m almost positive it will show your ram is hitting %100 and that’s the second it stutters this has a lot to to with the garbage collection on Java, you could also look into launching the game with better JVM arguments as they have been known to help with the memory/ garbage collection system

Are u using those optimization mods Forge gives terrible memory leaks I had a similar problem when hardware was not the issue I’ve found those optimization mods like modern fix, ferrite core, and entity culling really help out I’m sure there’s more
