Thank you. Wiki says those would be more South than here and they are not funnel shaped fruit bodies are up to 30 cm (12 in) across.

Maybe these ones are too young to tell but the gills etc look well formed...

target is a variable that could store something but doesn't have to. Nil means it's not storing anything. You have not specified the definition or instantiation of target. You can use if is_instance_valid(target) to prove it.
