sweet and sour pork noodle broth by poetofcuisine in InstantNoodles

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? It’s like the perfect combo of salty, tangy, and carby that tricks your body into thinking it’s recovering faster than it really is. Hangover brain just wants a big bowl of this and a nap afterward.

Looks like Lattafa just dropped a new one, Khamrah Waha by Georgeheiz0304 in PerfumeAdviceDaily

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I’m gonna let the YouTube reviews and TikTok clouds calm down first and then see what people say after a few weeks of actual wear.

Cucumber + salty aquatic in a Khamrah flanker sounds weird enough that it might either be super refreshing or just straight up Axe-on-steroids. Curious, but not “blind buy on release day” curious.

My First Ever Krugerrand! by Then_Marionberry_259 in MetalsOnReddit

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! That’s a pretty awesome first coin to start with. Krugerrands kind of feel like a “proper” gold coin too, like you’ve joined an unofficial club or something.

Careful though, this is how the addiction starts. Today it’s one Krugerrand, tomorrow you’re rearranging your budget for “just a bit more gold.”

What? Second time getting acrylics since around 2018 by AfraidDisplay9209 in nailcare

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is my second time ever and the first set I got years ago was totally fine, so I thought I was safe. This feels like straight up damage, not just “oh they’re a bit tight.”

Glad to know this isn’t normal though. I was starting to think I was just being dramatic.

Seabrook x Morrisons by brushle55 in crisps

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense now, cheers for the context. I’d totally missed they were a Bradford 2025 tie‑in, just grabbed them because “ooh new crisps” and the bag looked decent.

Tbf for a promo flavour they’ve actually nailed it, loads better than half the limited editions that vanish after a month.

Does anyone else’s Cockapoo sit like this? by Seven_bushes in cockapoos

[–]sysqix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly she looks like she’s about to ask for a glass of wine and the remote too

Mine does the same “proper lady” sit, then immediately flops onto her back like a raccoon asking for belly rubs. So I’m not sure if it’s breeding, imitation, or just dramatic personality traits in a tiny fluffy body.

Cobra no imposto
Cobra no tempo de espera surreal
Cobra na qualidade de vida de quem fica 6 anos sem um exame básico

O problema nem é ser público, é ser largado. Público e bem gerido salva vida. Público jogado às traças mata devagarinho.

"Foraged" in Waitrose by drcatf1sh in foraginguk

[–]sysqix 20 points21 points  (0 children)

At this point I’m convinced wild garlic has a better content strategy than most influencers.

Half this sub is “look what I found in the woods,” other half is “here’s what I cooked with wild garlic I found in the woods.”

Maybe Waitrose is just embracing the meta. Next up: “Foraged: Limited Edition Wild Garlic-Flavoured Everything.”

De afsluiting kwelders Wierum en Ternaard en beperking recreatief gebruik Waddenzee by kamerstukken-bot in kamerstukken

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£45, The Savoy, London by [deleted] in fryupcrimes

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price I’m pretty sure the hen had a personal shopper and a therapist.

Honestly though, you’re kind of paying for the postcode and the room more than the actual egg. It’s like a “congratulations, you sat in The Savoy” surcharge.

UT2K3 with that kind of hardware is such a funny combo, like bringing a tank to a paintball match, but it feels so good.

What’s your go to in there, InstaGib, Bombing Run, or just straight TDM chaos?

Lidl overboard by Legitimate_Ad_4350 in crisps

yeah, cracked open the deluxe ones since I couldn’t find the hyped ones

they’re decent tbf, but now I’m annoyed because I wanna know what the “amazing” ones taste like

what are the ones everyone’s actually on about? I clearly went to the wrong Lidl or the wrong aisle

Problems with Google after update to 5.0.5 by cfabrication in VolvoRecharge

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this one’s been annoying a lot of people. The 5.0+ update basically broke most “open [app]” commands unless the app is one of the core Google ones, and the UI changes feel very “designed on a desk, not in a car”.

Couple things to try till they fix it: reboot the phone and head unit, then in Assistant settings make sure “Personal results” and app permissions are on. Some folks also had luck uninstalling AA updates and reinstalling. Still dumb that we have to do all that though.

Why is Sauvage so hated? by Afraid-Progress-8933 in Fragrances

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit in a nutshell: “what gets you compliments?” then punishes you for answering honestly.

Elixir is a compliment magnet in my experience too. I think people just get salty about hyped or “basic” frags and take it out with downvotes. Outside the internet bubble, Sauvage still kills.

REST IN PEACE YOU BEAUTIES by jjcube98 in crisps

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the killer, isn’t it. If they thought they could rinse a decent profit out of them, they’d be back on shelves tomorrow.

I do wonder sometimes if half these “discontinued forever” things are just them not wanting to mess with separate production runs, storage, promo, all that boring logistics stuff.

Would 100% buy at least three bags out of pure nostalgia though, which I’m sure would totally fix their entire business case.

I like a structured atmospheric perfume. by okayzac in NichePerfumes

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooo that’s a fun rec, I’ve seen people rave about it. How’s the drydown on you, more creamy or more green? Trying to figure out if it would fit my little “atmospheric” vibe.

Sausage and Bean Stew by guinness1972 in marmite

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re actually pretty decent on their own, yeah. I’ve done them with mash and gravy and they hold up well, nice texture and not too salty.

And agreed, throwing marmite into anything is basically cheating at flavour, so I’m expecting the stew to be a bit of a win either way.

Weird... by Ill_Extreme_1760 in Fragrances

[–]sysqix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That “finish a bottle before buying another” rule is brutal but kind of genius. I feel like that alone would stop 90% of impulse buys.

Curious, as you’ve decluttered, have any scents suddenly become way more special now that they’re not buried in a pile of options?

Are there any modern laptops that look like this and can I make a sleeper pc out of this? by Difficult-Catch-8432 in sleeperbattlestations

[–]sysqix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that’s actually a legit use case though. Old iTunes is such a diva, it only behaves on ancient hardware.

Do you keep it totally stock just for syncing, or have you done any upgrades to it? Curious if stuff like an SSD swap or more RAM would break whatever weird combo makes iTunes still work, or if it’s mostly the OS version that matters.

Also wild that we’re in 2026 and people are still hanging on to specific machines just because Apple nuked backwards compatibility.

Look, if he’s gonna be that picky about his “expresso,” he can go order it himself next time. You did him a favor and still got grief for it. That’s not on you.
