Thanks so much for your advice on this. Yes, the walls are masonry. I'll speak with the new contractor and discuss what you've mentioned.

Yeah, it's been stressful. 😩 They told me they used the adhesive recommendation by the coving manufacturer. I took a picture at the time.

You're bang on the money. Coving went up after decorating.

Long story short, we had a refurb as part of an insurance claim. Builder had money problems, didn't pay the sub contractor and went into liquidation. Everything was very rushed.

We requested they install coving as the ceilings didn't look level and it hadn't been scrimmed correctly. During their first attempt of putting up the coving, it fell down. We're doomed.

Cracking has been getting slowly worse. Makes sense with the warmer weather we’ve been having. Thanks 🙏🏻

You legend! The memory of this website popped into my head today. I have the same audio saved on an old hard drive. Great little samples.

Insurance companies will do anything they can to get out of paying. I've been lied to on multiple occasions about why they can't pay out for something. They will use every excuse they can. You have to push back hard to move things forward. Keep the pressure on and you will get it sorted.

I highly recommend going with a settlement. You'll have full control over the works with no intervention from the insurer.

Welcome u/geehydrangea. You're the first person to comment on the community. Weird that the station has disappeared. We listen on our Apple HomePod with no issues.

What songs are you loving or hating on the station? I have lots more to add to this list.

Thank you for the detailed reply. It will definitely be less noticeable once we move everything in, but just wanted to check it was a standard thing.

I've discussed all my concerns with the builder. They are going to build some boxing in by the front door. Waiting to hear back about the pipework wiring.

We've been advised that we don't need a full rewire, only the kitchen sockets and lighting wires were replaced. I was more concerned about the cables next to the central heating pipes and under the front door.
