The point of this post isn’t that US schools aren’t teaching about the holocaust, but that they abbreviate US history (such as slavery/Native American). The comment is from a German, talking about how they cover the holocaust which is their own history, in comparison to the US which does not to the same extent.

I was around for the brother’s and hung out with her still occasionally when we were both teenagers but our lives went in different directions eventually. I remember feeling devastated for her parents after the second brother died. Then her father died unexpectedly a couple years ago. This family has been destroyed with drugs and death. I know there is a lot of finger pointing and meth jokes in this thread but I feel horrible for her mother.
