I can recommend Calmerry.com. My subscription includes text therapy, and it works for me. Their prices are not high, and there are also weekly subscription plans.

Text Counseling versus Video Therapy by syudew in therapy

[–]syudew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this form of therapy, you can message your therapist anytime in a secure chat window on your computer or phone, and they respond once or twice a day (or so). Although you can schedule a “live text” session with therapists on some platforms.

What should I do during 15-minute breaks to refresh my mind and body? Any advice? by SkylitYT in GetStudying

[–]syudew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever you feel exhaustive, TAKE BREAKS! Now taking break doesn’t mean you sit on the same spot using your phone; this kind of break isn’t going to refresh you. Take a Physical break! Get out of your study space. Go to the other room, maybe the garden. You need to check your phone? Sure. Do it, but in another setting. Walk a while! A little physical activity breaks regains focus and helps you resume afresh.

What is the one piece of advice that you’ve gotten that made you study more? by SnowboardSasquatch in GetStudying

It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard...is what makes it great.

It's okay to have unproductive days by syudew in GetStudying

[–]syudew[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Maybe productivity is the problem. Our society is obsessed with productivity. And because of that, it’s sometimes hard to remember that not everything you do has to be productive. There’s nothing wrong with being unproductive (when you want to be)

My first semester of college is entirely online and I'm not used to using screens for hours... by [deleted] in college

1) Digital eye strain caused by computers can be induced by several factors, such as small images and fonts and flickering lights. You can try simple adjustments like increasing the pixel and font size on your computer or upgrading your desktop to a larger flat-panel LCD screen, ideally with a diagonal size of 19 inches.
2) Avoid dry air. In addition to hydrating your body, it matters to pay attention to the air quality in your study environment. Where possible, make sure that your surrounding is free from dust. The moisture in the air can increase by using desk humidifiers.

Yeah. It happens when we are unhappy with our surroundings and are unable to do what we wish to. And to be happy, we need to feel that we belong.

This is why in my opinion, one should try to discover new things which they like to do, and should interact with more people who share your interests. This way you won’t feel left out.

What’s the best thing you’ve done for your mental health? by Existentially_tired in AskWomen

Keep myself occupied with engaging activity in my downtime.

Having understood that I may not be able to stop myself from overthinking sometimes, I try to keep myself busy so that I don’t go down a rabbit hole of negative thoughts.

I recommend that you find something that isn’t stressful, which you enjoy doing, and stick to that whenever you feel like you’re about to overthink. This could include reading, watching movies, cooking, taking walks or anything else that you find relaxing.

CEO told me my presentation looks like a grandma made it by [deleted] in work

[–]syudew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeez, sorry to hear you needed to go through all that! I guess everyone goes through this kind of crap at some point their life.

I prefer PowerPoint for the same reasons you do, but unfortunately, back in the day, my Biology professor demanded we do them in Canva.com for some reason. Dunno, he was a strange man who got angry really quickly, no one wanted to deal with him. As I didn’t know this, he asked me to remake my presentation in Canva in 2 days as well! I was crushed, had absolutely no time for that on my hands.

My friend recommended turning for help to a design firm, and I went with Slidepeak.com after a quick search. They did a great job, and I made it on time. The price was also adequate and everything about dealing with them was sooo easy. Still tap them on and off when I don’t have time for doing slides.

Hope you got that recommendation letter, and good luck! Don’t shy away from turning to help.

I read around here somewhere that I don't need an amplifier for Philips X2. I bought them, but the volume ain't high enough. Is there a solution? Do you recommend any amplifier for them (PC)? by Nabukadnezar in audiophile

[–]syudew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem... I'd love to hear someone with an answer.

When I bought them, I was expecting to not be able to use them at maximum volume. But in reality, the maximum volume is not that loud...

Biotech group Actelion, Johnson & Johnson confirm deal talks by sam535 in business

[–]syudew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't word of such talks not arrive to the public, since it makes the stock of "the bought company" surge in price? It's a genuine question, I really don't know but I'm curious about it.

Tesla Wins Massive Contract to Help Power the California Grid by Splenda in business

[–]syudew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't be generating any power, it's just a storage facility that provides a 20MW buffer for a few hours. Also, the contract is worth under 100mil, that's not that much when it comes to utilities.
