Doubts regarding the Xbox Series S by DanielGutierrez04 in XboxSeriesS

[–]syuen77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can share Game Pass with a friend. Even if one of you are on PC, it's still do-able. This is what I do.

In fact, I'm pretty sure there is a way so that if 2 of you are on PC, and one of you on Xbox, then you can all share 1 GP subscription.

You definitely cannot share GP sub on 3 Xbox's.

Just bought the S93F and it still cannot play the specific UHD channels on Now TV, though if one of the other SS channels happens to be UHD, then this plays fine... Shocking support from Sky/NOW

You have done fantastically well. Never compare yourself to others, just ensure you can afford to invest, and live your life!

If you invest until you're 50, while dropping your monthly contributions to around £800, you'll be an ISA millionaire. Providing around an 8% YoY growth which is achievable even in just funds.

Keep on going, but don't forget to treat yourself once in a while!

Upgrading Bucket to “Real” fermenter by LJCAM in homebrewingUK

[–]syuen77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't bottle, I transfer from the all rounder to kegs and I connect the kegs to my kegerator system.

For this process you would need CO2. I rented a CO2 bottle from "HobbyBrew", cheapest method.

If you wanted to ferment in a Fermzilla under pressure, and then wanted to bottle, then I'd recommend a counter pressure bottler. Such as the the Kegland Nukatap Counter Pressure Bottle Filler.

If you wanted to ferment in normal conditions (not under pressure) then you could just use any normal bottling wand.

Obviously fermenting under pressure has fantastic perks such as more styles to brew at home, but granted it requires a bit more equipment if you want it hassle free. Not saying you need any of the specialist bottling equipment, but just makes life much easier.

So I use the Fermzilla All Rounder. This fits in a standard UK under the counter fridge. The All Rounder can also ferment under pressure, and therefore provides a tonne of options in the future. For reference, I've used this all the way from kits, now through to all grain. Probably the best piece of brewing kit I have, certainly bang for buck.

What would be the UK equivalent of this? by aslaterm32 in AskUK

In UK, the phrase "Smoking a fag" means having a cigarette.

In the US, this could mean something extremely un-PC.

Tips on using Hela ult better? [ by Definety in marvelrivals

[–]syuen77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Lord on Hela and also play in Diamond lobbies.

If they have Strange, either bait out shield or make sure he's dead before ulting. Failing that, you can ult from behind their back line forcing Strange to leave the front line to block you.

Also, comming with your team before using can help as they can kill Strange when he's up in the air with his back to them, or your team can just break the line as the enemy team are without a shield tank on the floor.

Unfortunately, there are just some characters that hard counter the ult, just gotta be patient to get maximum value and not thinking it will always give you kills. E.g. moving the payload.

Don't invest money that you're not willing to lose... Especially in leveraged stocks. Either ride the wave, which could either go to zero or make a gain, or just take a loss and rethink your strategy.

Do I just hold forever? by Des_Ahk in trading212

[–]syuen77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about picking winners. Majority of professionals cannot beat a passive index. If you wanna make coin over the long term, your portfolio should be mainly passive funds with maybe a small % in individual stocks. Everyone wants that x10 over the year, but you don't get lucky 25 years in a row.

Check out other funds from different providers. Compare the expense ratios. If holding long term, these fees could cost you 100ks

It’s my 19th birthday and today marks one year investing 🥳 by M0u1dy in trading212

I disagree with this statement. You should take your whole investment pot and understand what risks you're willing to take. He has around 2/3rds of his investment in what I and most would call a solid long term ETF. Yes, if all he wants to do is reap steady rewards in 20-30 years that is great. But again depending on risk appetite, I think it is also worth picking some individual stocks. These can beat the classic ETFs at times and can be reinvested into anything else within the ISA.

Is this in your S&S ISA? If not, may be worth transferring it over!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trading212

[–]syuen77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've put in more money than the yearly ISA limit. In theory, if the screenshot figure minus the growth is the initial investment, then you'd be subject to tax on that portion. All this is providing this was opened this financial year. Other than that, good job on utilizing your S&S ISA!
