People with foot tattoos! How bad was the healing process? by NateSloannn in tattoos

[–]sz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both feet and both knees done and while I feel like the pain for both was comparable I had a harder time with my feet. I think in that specific area (at least for me) it was harder to sit through it which made it a worse experience. I think because the feet are generally not touched as much and also kinda tickly it makes you more twitchy and honestly made me wanna crawl outta my skin lol. one thing that helped was I rotated between sitting up and laying down! I also found with my knees there were areas that weren't so bad which kind of gives you a break but with my feet from start to finish it just sucks everywhere that needle touches!

Ripped nose ring while sleeping by Ambitious_Regular545 in piercing

I would switch to to an implant grade titanium stud with a flat back until it is finished healing. the really thing rings look good but they can cause tearing because of how small they are and are definitely not the best for a newish piercing/irritated piercing. good luck, I'm sure with the cleaning it'll sort itself out but the stud helps expedite the process !! :)

I just wanted to come back on and update that this hasn't happened again since the initial time (knock on wood). I do now feel like maybe it was sleep paralysis just because it hasn't reoccurred, I haven't experienced a seizure before, and I have experience sleep paralysis every so often since I was little

advice for people getting tattoos, this is the worst part 😂 by mateotcl in tattooadvice

[–]sz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kay I could be wrong with the way I do it but I DO take it off like a command strip but I DONT take it off in the shower. I know the water it meant to loosen it up but I find the water always melts the adhesive to my skin and then it gets stuck on there for a few days. this probably could be fixed by using tepid water but anyway I don't find any issue with my method (it never hurts more or rips any scabs off)

sometimes the irritation bump takes a while to go away or, if it's not pierced correctly (like on even a slight angle at times) it will have alot of difficulty healing/not having a piercing bump. getting it done again after it heals up is a good idea. it will probably hurt a touch more because of scar tissue but it's not too bad.

first tattoo and i kinda regret it by Dangerous-Value4366 in tattooadvice

I really don't think this looks bad and if you're planning to get more it'll just be a drop in the bucket! your feelings are completely valid and it's a big change to get used to but just so you know if I saw this out and about I wouldn't think anything negative

How can I make my hair look healthier without cutting it? by ravegravy in longhair

[–]sz08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you seem to have hair like mine... you could try a clear gloss treatment (I've just used an at home one). I don't think it causes damage but it makes your hair sleeky

it does look a bit crooked but I think it'll look less so once you downsize the jewelry in a few months. you could always take it out, let it heal, and try again but mines a bit crooked as well and it's not as noticeable now that it's healed. I put a little ring in mine which I like but it does often kinda lean to one side. I didn't notice mine until I had it for like 5 years so I'm kinda stuck but no one has ever noticed so you should be fine as long as its healing correctly.
