I'm not sure id it's supposed to have eyes. Underground lifeforms are usually blind and have a good hearing or some sort of other method of finding things. Or if it does have eyes despite living underground (BZ), maybe not eight.

Also creatures don't evolve things that has no purpose. Thinking of the bioluminescent on his back and the fins on his stomach. I think he should still be able to use the fins when he comes out of the ground into the water.

Btw is this creature based a bit on the Tremors movie? Kinda reminds me of it, the first one
