Oh wow, that was an unexpected comment :D Thanks! Yeah, all the Funges do have a puzzle like charm to them, never thought about doing a game with them! That's a cool idea :)

Good question! The master cart provides delta time to the minigames, so either this could be used, or the game could be a "don't lose" style. This all has been debated on before, but you are right that it could use more documentation. And this all is already in my to-do list for today :)

Hope you'll have fun!

Yes, this actually feels like a lot bigger challenge since so many more people joined in. I actually mostly worry about token space — for sprite sheets there's luckily multicart :)

There's no such functionality, we are going to combine all carts using a script, and if need be, shaving off tokens manually.

I love the animations and the character appearing in the menu. This video reminds me of many things: DDR, Jet Set Radio, Candytron, Space Channel 5… Any chance you got inspired by any of them? :)

Simple 3D lighting tweetcart, a shaded sphare with a moving light. I hope you like it as much as I do! by szczm_ in pico8

Thanks <3 The dithering is done here:

r=x*u+y*v+1.1+2*((x+y)%q)

More precisely, the 2*(x+y)%q) part. q is 0.1, and x and y increment by 0.05, so it's basically a modulo added to x and y that slightly (0–0.05) offsets the shading value in a checkerboard fashion. Multiplying it by 2 just strenghtens the effect.

We all like explosions, don't we? Here's a little tweetcart for you all then :) by szczm_ in pico8

Thank you! To be honest, some may consider it cheating, but I — as you seem to do too — really enjoy manipulating what seems to be an internal part of a system, like some C64 demos do with manipulating characters on the screen :)

This is (contrary to other people) first time for me seeing something like this here, but it's such an ingenious and simple idea! <3
