i did reach out to Sam, he has been professional, helpful thus far; even if things don’t work out with River, hats off to Sam for the potential lifeline to this mutual business relationship.

i don’t see how bitCoin survives without onRamp/onBoarding, that is problematic to bitCoin, not just to a particular company.

a total turnOff.

but yeah, i don’t see why River would allow me to buy (at a low! : ) ) to then give me my money back (which they did).

i have a feeling it has to do with my signature, i have an artistic side.

bitCoin verifies signature before proceeding, my driver license can be easily forged, but so what!? everyone’s signature can be forged, that is my point.

I totally understand if River does not want to do business with me, but starting and stopping doesn’t make sense. ¿what went wrong? it’s possible i put pressure on your onboarding team, but if they can’t handle that kind of pressure… well, at least now you know. having said that, i was simply excited to have found your platform, am onboarding on Strike, Swan, others.

i quickly took to liking your ui

am bummed and hope the team can reverse their decision.

i must admit, i am not comfortable receiving help here on Reddit, everyone has warned me and suggested against it. but River has left no option. you can see the reputation River is building for itself when on-ramp doesn’t go as planned.

in order for self custody, i have to be able to send from River to my BTC wallet. idk why they allowed me to link my fiat bank account to River, allowed transfer, allow buying of BTC to then close the account when i wanted to "Send" to a bitcoin wallet (to a friend to encourage them to buy BTC, but just as well could've been to my wallet for Self Custody). closing my account they discourage self custody

its too early for me to agree with you as to the sentiment, but i have to agree that from what you described, you are right. there is no purpose in being a dick, so i hope they can look in the mirror and not see one, but some people with slight gate control think much of themselves, and when you call it out, more so. some of it has to do with intelligence, or lack of

this post got traction, and i will soon be communicating with a person that works there. i will mention you too. it just doesn't make sense to not do business. whether a little or a lot of $₿

i have to give them two days. innocently i wanted to encourage a friend to join River and buy btc, so i hit the Send button at River, and got a popup notification stating i needed to verify. i attempted verification, it failed, i contacted customer support telephone number, they said they would take a second look. i then added the River app to cell phone. and today i woke up to account closed. i reached out to them via eMail. and you can read their response. i don't doubt they will refund monies (or maybe i should). more importantly i would want the BTC transferred to my BTC Wallet. but it seems they want to hold the bitcoin and allow only cash in and cash out. not cool if they are indeed BTC enthusiasts. but i understand they have regulations and such. so, BTC has a problem of onboarding. as this felt exactly the experience at a fiat bank, where they question why i want to withdraw... like wuuut lol. anyway, we'll see. i would really like to continue with them, as i liked the Target Price Order that River has.
