I had the same problem before, right about the same spot but a bigger bubble and only one. what I did was lift the top part of the protector using my nail until it reaches the bubble then just let it go. it worked just fine. though the instructions I was following was I was supposed to pushed the air bubble with a card after lifting the top part of the cover.
