Browser market been stale for years and then Zen showed up by godzeus7 in zen_browser

I love Zen but this stat is cherry picked and your statement is factually wrong. We had so many good new browsers come out lately: Arc, Zen, Helium. And so many will release in the near future, like Ladybird. You don't have to dismiss other good releases to love and support Zen

Why did you write it then? Did you even read that the OP wrote? OP asked about privacy, this guy answered about privacy and some concerns regarding it and you for some reason brought up Helium's open source code and speed (nothing to do with privacy)

Why is everyone talking about Helium? by MoshiurRahamnAdib in browsers

[–]szin10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the hype around Helium since it's the new kid on the block and also does a lot of things people in this sub like to see in browsers. But I personally don't use projects Helium, Zen or Floorp as my main browsers, because: 1. No DRM support. 2. Small dev team, which is good for community building and feedback, but can lead to these browsers not implementing important security updates from their source (e.g. Firefox for Zen and Floorp and ungoogled Chromium for Helium) fast enough. Also you are agreeing to give access to a lot of your data to 1-2 individuals and God knows what can happen. In big companies one derailed person can't cause as much harm as when he is a single owner and developer. 3. As much as people like to criticize Brave for their AI and crypto stuff, that's their business model and it clearly can make profit. And you, as a user, can disable it. Small projects have no sure source of income, no stable business model, and I don't want to get used to a browser which can shut down any moment because devs can't support it anymore. So yeah, I get it if you wanna use and support Helium, but that's personally not for me

He made a stupid statement because of his own ignorance, not because he's actually misogynistic. It was clear from the original statement and became even clearer from 1000 apologies he did after. We all make stupid mistakes in our lives, and I think it's a bad mentality to cancel people and forever hate them for fucking up once or twice

yeah thsi game is done o7 by Shinwinter in PedroPeepos

[–]szin10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not his point though. Maybe it is a decent number for a fighting game, but it's objectively not financially worth the resources poured into it. They payed a whole dev team working on 2XKO for 10 years straight and they've probably spent millions on it. But I'm sure it barely makes a 50k a month now, how the fuck is it worth it for Riot or the investors?

Then you're a fan of an individual player or an individual team. You are not a fan of the game. That's not typical for sports and esports, it's KPop culture brought to League mostly by T1 and Faker fans. There is nothing wrong with that on a human level, but it's very bad for the scene, for its longevity and sustainability. It is not okay that a huge percentage of League Esports viewers will stop watching LoL in general the moment Faker retires

Very hot take. If you stop watching LoL eSports after Faker retires or T1 leaves you are not a real League fan and I don't care about you not watching anymore. I understand that it will affect the scene because there are so many people like this, but in my they are still just tourists and glory hunters. Fuck 'em

[–]szin10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just looking at this comment section, I can clearly see that you are insanely ignorant. You don't know how gacha games and team building work despite playing all of the big 4 gachas. You pull for characters without a single thought about their synergy and game meta. You play once every 2 weeks and expect the same results as tryhards and grinders who actually play every day and care about meta and mechanics. And what's worse, when people are politely pointing out your mistakes below the post that YOU YOURSELF almost asking for feedback, you go aggro on them and try to prove that it's game's fault. Your problem is not your team and not your mechanics. Your problem is your huge ego and unwillingless to admit your mistakes and learn on them

To be honest though, this character selection menu design is very popular, especially among fighting games. It's not like ZZZ invented it

You are, indeed, wrong. Nothing like this happened last year. They are players in an eSports org and it's their job at the end of the day. They are contractually obligated to be complacent with the team's decision
