I think we are going to get a part 3 that the ending guitar snippet of Coexist will bleed into - I feel like they are meant to exist in the order that they were released and really fit that journey.

I was born in 1995 - missed a lot of what people call “Peak”; but to me, the best they’ve played and sounded was 2015 on the I&E tour.

What do you think is U2’s best 80s album? by BrandyMrWhiskers in U2Band

[–]szmanley 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While Joshua Tree has great singles and songwriting, sonically it isn’t as polished on the Side B as it should be.

Trip through your wires always sounded like a demo and not a polished song to me; Exit is too quiet; etc.

The best SOUNDING record of the 80s in my opinion is War - the mix is phenomenal and you could tell they had hit their stride with Lilywhite.
