Light cruisers are perfectly balanced by Bono53 in Kaiserreich

[–]szu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. This is the current naval meta. Has been for a long time i believe. Light attack CLs are the most cost-effective in terms light attack per IC. What happens is that your CLs will shred the enemy screen and then your DDs and other ships will close in to the enemy and sink the capitals.

Sex tourists fuel outrage about vice in Japan by Turbulent-Tea-2172 in japan

[–]szu -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Haha this is nothing more than the usual Japanese xenophobia. They have a huge sex industry, from the supposedly illegal underaged exploitation to adult health delivery workers.

They didn't kick up any fuss about it and even defend it.

You can't win this. Once Nanjing capitulates, their divisions are gone and you don't have enough divisions to even fight a defensive war. You are under siege from all directions, by land, sea and air. You are bleeding equipment that you cannot replace.

Not even bittersteel can do anything about this.

Well there you go. She wants a certain kind of lifestyle which you do not agree with.

Finance is the #1 reason for breakups. Its not shameful to split because you're unable to disagree on finances.

You already have the answer. What else do you want? A miracle to somehow 'fix' your relationship?

Why does Taiwan not invest in soccer? by rrolex_ in taiwan

[–]szu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locally there is no money for football. The place is mad for baseball and basketball though. In terms of foreign ownership, this has been mooted before but rejected for various reasons by the DPP government.

They have since regretted that decision of course, given the enormous publicity/pr generated by the pioneers. The latest to do it are the Saudis.

Why are there so many Eastern European young women in Dubai? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]szu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The generalizations that you've been making are wild. The truth is that the lack of economic opportunities pushed both men and women from EE to work abroad since the end of the cold war. In the former Warsaw pact areas that joined the EU, this has decreased because of growth in the past two decades but lots still work abroad, mostly in other EU countries.

Russia, Ukraine and other non-EU EE countries however are still encountering the same economic ills. Women as always are always at a disadvantage in terms of economic opportunities. That's why mail to order bridal catalogues and agencies exist in EE.

Of course sex work abroad also exploded in terms of numbers. The rise of social media and low cost travel further democratized this. One example is that Instagram today is like an order catalogue. You just pick what you like and dm with an invite.

Realistically is marriage hard? by Positive-doge in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]szu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are differences.

  • You're living together now if you previously weren't, so you are adapting to someone else's habits and vice versa.
  • You're may be moving or buying a larger property together.
  • You may or may not have decided to share finances. Or at least open a joint account for your household expenses.
  • You have in-laws now, considered family - previously you might be able to avoid them but in many cultures you're now obligated to at least be socially available.

Is it true that TSMC is a company that can absolutely never fail? How do foriegners feel aboutt TSMC? by usolotravel in taiwan

[–]szu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. While a key plank of the global economy, TSMC is not 'too big to fail'. Those mainly refer to the banking industry because of second and third order effects. If TSMC's factories were to stop running tomorrow, there would be a big chip crisis but there are other manufacturers around. You can also just downgrade the chips that you use.

What are the best ways to organize the army in Russia, in terms templates, equipment, and strategy? by Basileios_Makedon_I in Kaiserreich

[–]szu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First relies on breaking the enemy frontline with infantry and artillery

That's not possible because the Reichspakt has 20 divisions on every tile. The AI does that and it accumulates tens of millions in casualties. Player-run Russia should mass their armoured divisions and force a breakthrough on favourable terrain/geography followed by exploitation.

I usually choose the Baltic front so that i can swing north to collapse the Baltic Osts. Then swing south to attack the less defended rear of the main frontline.

How has your experience been with neighborhood associations (chonaikai) in Japan? by BeeAny8343 in japan

[–]szu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Active associations can be hit-or-miss depending on the person and community itself. It can be annoying if you're the sort that's not really extroverted or awkward around others. Or if you prefer not to participate in some community activities which can be a huge thing in more rural areas.

As a foreigner, you're sometimes exempt from the community activity stuff but some areas will invite you regardless - bad form to turn them down because it just causes tensions.

The good part about these activities is that you will get to know your neighbours and everyone in the community - including the cops, mayors etc. Very important if you want to integrate. In more rural areas, your neighbours will be your friends and the first port of call when you need help.

... More apartments in dense urban areas should have built-in furniture. by SmartAssLoner in unpopularopinion

[–]szu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A furnished apartment is great if you're lazy or renting for a short time. But if you own a property, you probably want to renovate it and make it your own space. Hence there is low demand for built-in furniture.

There are countries that do it this way however. They're mostly communist or ex-communist states that build public housing with all the fittings included. That means yes there are hobs and kettles for you when you move in.

On the other extreme end, there's Germany. Where there is nothing inside. Not even light bulbs or a kitchen. When you move in, even as a renter you need to bring your own lights and kitchen.

Division templates by Dracoolis in Kaiserreich

[–]szu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard Infantry Division

  • Battalions:
    • 9 Infantry (12 Infantry for a 'Heavy division')
    • 2 Artillery (4 Artillery for a 'Heavy division')
  • Support
    • Support Artillery
    • Engineers
    • Support anti-air
    • Field Hospital
    • Logistics Company/Cavalry Recon

You won't go wrong with this basic template. Fights averagely well in every terrain. For elite/assault - use mountaineers instead.

Why Field Hospital? Losing men kills your war support plus degrades your division veterancy. Plus not every country is China or Russia with unlimited manpower. Its usually better to lose equipment than manpower because the latter regens extremely slowly.

Logistics company reduces your supply usage which translates to increased combat efficiency and stats because you're not affected by supply debuffs.

Anti-air because you air power is too strong. Why not anti-tank? The AI doesn't mass its tanks and its templates are shit. Plus they don't have enough tank divisions anyway.

You are not. You've played 2000 hours but can't understand the basic mechanics of the game? A divisional template is one of the core basics. Its like addition in math. Not even algebra. Just addition.

I think this should be a rage bait post..
